Who would have guessed a name like Akebono is OEM equipment for a Denali?!? I hunted these down to install them on my truck because the originals lasted about 100k miles. Granted, I am easy on my brakes but for a heavy truck, that's really good!

I bought these because I once sold Akebono brake pads. At the time they had more formulas that were specific to the vehicle. Other brands just used a hand full of formulas, they were generic across the board. A Hyundai doesn't operate as a four wheel drive and it doesn't stop like one either. The pads are slotted and chamfered to manufacturer specs. Also the backing plates are cut and not stamped, this leaves a clean edge so that the pad doesn't hang up in the caliper. The truck came with ceramic pads and it runs about 150 degrees cooler than semi-met. Pads.

Excellent product. On my 3rd set. Good for 60,000 miles of hard stop and go driving. Virtually no brake rotor wear from these pads. Be careful on your initial stops as they take a while to get bedded in.

2007 tahoe replaced stock have some miles on them and no brake dust on the chrome 22" stopping is so much better complete set with grease and new retainers better the the green stuff pads amazing
