The artwork, in my opinion, is beautiful for the majority of the deck (the border is a bit tacky, but meh). The images and meanings work well together, consistently- especially since the author wrote about their reasoning behind each theme and what each meaning meant for them (although some more than others). It has helped, in this, to point out layers of the images that first glance had me missing. This is THE deck that helped me learn Tarot- previous decks had been a struggle to get through. There was too much guessing, memorization, or multiple/contrary listed meanings shoved into a single card. The depth of this deck- with every part of it given -reason- and purpose makes this a treasured deck for me. It's very clear that this was a creation from the author's POV, but without constricting any one else making use of it.The deck shuffles well enough for me. Although it looks like the sort of card stock that -may- peel on the edges, it hasn't yet after all this time (it's been almost a year since purchase for this review) and multiple usage. Mine, also, arrived without previous mentioned damage (sticking together, chips, scratches, or blurry printing), so it may be just a matter of luck.

Beautiful tarot deck
I love this tarot deck, I’ve been reading with it for several years. The art is beautiful. The back is non reversible, but I don’t read reversals so that’s just fine for me. All the art is beautiful and expressive, and the book included is very helpful. I learned to read on this deck, and I’ve found my skills transfer well to other decks. I’d definitely recommend this deck whether it’s your first or fiftieth deck. The artwork is beautiful, the cards are a nice size (even for my tiny hands!), and overall they’ve held up great to the test of time.

kudos where kudos is due
This is a beautiful deck. The art is a strange and enjoyable combination of muted--with a lot of black and dark blue--and vibrant. What few colors there are, are used carefully to make a huge impression. One thing that's unusual about this deck: the little white book, or LWB. Usually, the LWBs I read are small, simple, and easily discarded. But this LWB is a full-on honest-to-god book. Stiefvater's prose is lovely, her command of the Tarot is impressive, and the meanings she provides are down-to-earth and (at least to me) very close to my own interpretations. One issue: when my deck came in, it was missing a single card--9 of pentacles I think? I quickly discovered the issue, messaged the seller, and they immediately sent me a replacement card for free. Apparently this is a common issue with this deck, so if it happens to you, let them know! Then rest easy knowing that they'll take care of it for you.In short, I highly recommend this deck and this author.

Beautiful deck!
The art for this deck is just gorgeous. You can see the love and attention to detail the artist put into each image. Most of the images match up with traditional tarot card meanings, but many don't seem to match up that well. This isn't a deck that seems to be meant to be read in the stuffy, restrictive way some readers insist on, though, and I like it for that reason. The deck comes in a display-worthy box with a full sized guide book. The book gives what seem to be pretty accurate summaries of traditional meanings. The card stock does concern me a little. It's thinner than most decks I've got (and I have a lot) so I took a star off for that. As long as you're gentle when you shuffle you probably won't bend the cards, but I do stress being careful when you shuffle. They should hold up under gentle use pretty well even though they're thin.

A wonderful deck that inspires confidence for beginners
I've tried to delve into Tarot with 3 other decks, and never quite felt comfortable with it. This is the perfect deck for me. The art is beautiful and the symbols are clear for interpretation. The book that comes with it is by far the most user-friendly and relate-able one that I've come across. It's an excellent introduction, and so far my readings have been spot on. It really makes it fun, and takes something that otherwise feels intimidating and makes you feel like it's meant for you. I would definitely recommend thoroughly reading the book prior to trying to do readings, it will make you feel a lot more confident.

Beautiful Set
I love Maggie Steifvater as an author and an artist. As a beginner with tarot cards she breaks the meanings down into concise and easy to understand definitions. The guidebook is good for a quick reference and her art on the cards are gorgeous. She also does a great job in explaining how you can connect the illustration to the meaning of the card. She doesn't address reversed cards if that is a focus of yours however. Overall this is a beautiful deck and I'm very satisfied that it's my first one.

Great Explanations in the Booklet
The booklet is written for those still learning Tarot, like me, since 2015. It is well-written (Ms. Stiefvater is a best selling author). The artwork is thoughtfully executed. The cards are sturdy. The three cards that wanted to be presented are the Two of Swords, “ …You’re facing a choice, but both sides seem evenly matched, with nothing to recommend one over the other…” The Seven of Wands, “…When the Seven of Wands appears, it usually means that you find yourself being attacked, often on a personal level…” The King of Coins,” The King of Coins has the best head for business…”

My favorite deck!
This was my first deck of tarot cards and it’s my absolute favorite, I love the imagery and the guide book is the best one I’ve read!I love these cards very dearly and I absolutely recommend them if you like decks that aren’t too close to the traditional ones but are still very intuitive after some guidance!
