It's a great listening device for elder people who have a hard time hearing

the only reason I did not give a 5 star is because the batteries are very hard to exchange a female can't do it at least my cant

This unit is well worth the money as opposed to the lower prices Reizen unit. With the cheaper unit the ear buds fall out at the slightest movement. There is some static and crackling sounds. The better unit has comfortable headphones that stay on. The sound quality is much better quality. As with all amplifiers the less of the total amplification ability you have to use, the better the sound quality is. If course any personal amplifier will also pick up sounds in the room, but in a quiet place you will hear very well. Pay the extra and get the better Reizen. Use large safety pins to secure it to the arm of your easy chair.

I bought this while searching to replace my original "ears". I use it for TV. This came with headphones, which I need, can't use ear buds. The sound quality (lack of) is hollow, monotone and very scratchy! The headphones are the most uncomfortable set I have ever used. (no other set I have is compatible with this) There is one thin layer of foam, so you feel every bit of metal and plastic under it! It causes a lot of discomfort on the ear itself. Ok for short term use, but if watching a movie, your ears will be in pain! I ONLY kept this set until I can find my original "ears". Not worth the money at all.

Product is VERY small and difficult for seniors to use. I assume that is your targeted customer base, so why not put more thought into the design of the product for this population? I bought this for an elderly parent to use at dr appts and for 1-1 conversations (would not recommend for areas like restaurants or events as it will amplify all the background noise as well) This product is really of little use for my family member since they can only use it when someone is around to help them. The on/off function is very small and difficult to use. The volume control is a dial and easy to accidentally turn to volume too loud - this would be better as a (+) ( -) feature so one can increase or decrease volume in increments rather than a dial. The batteries came included but it is difficult to open/ close the back to install the batteries.. again, not very senior friendly. The one feature that was appreciated is that the product came with both earplug and ear phones with a padding. My family member already has a hearing aid in the ear, so the earplug is not useful. He wears the earphones around his neck, the padding helps it to not be too uncomfortable. I am looking into other plug in options to use that may be better but for now, wearing it around the neck helps.

We bought this for my mom to use until she can get new hearing aids. Will hold onto it for when she loses them again!

package arrived in soft packaging. The device was in a tiny box, but headphones were not. The headphones broke instantly after taking out of the plastic wrap. The single earbud that also came with the device was mostly comfortable but its a single earbud, not double, like the headset that came with it to cover both ears. The volume control was very sensitive to touch; barely trying to move the dial would increase the volume a lot-- this is good, but for the person this was bought for, this is not a good thing. The broken headset was really disappointing, but the device itself does raise the sound volume of things very very much. In the end, cheap headset, cheap single earbud, powerful sound device.

Very cheaply made and don’t pick up audio very well. Returning them is next to impossible. I threw them in garbage after trying to send them back. I would not buy these.

Price has really gone up for this item. Very cheap headphones and the cord is too short for the microphone. 3 stars because it is better than nothing just way overpriced
