I like the concept of having a large trackball and keyboard ...
I like the concept of having a large trackball and keyboard all in one. I purchased my first one 10 years ago and still working, unfortunatelythe newer ones ( I've tried 3 of them) have an intermittent mouse that locks up.

I should work just fine after that
I bought this product with high expectations and hoping to consolidate my trackball and keyboard into a single unit, sady there were issues and it just didn't work . First had get an adaptor so I could use it. the the mouse and keyboard would freeze up. I you have this product and you're having the same issues, just unplug the USB from the computer, wait five to seconds and then plug it back into your computer. I should work just fine after that. It's an easy enough fix, but not a person is a quadrapledgic.

Great Keyboard could be better
I have owned 2 of these keyboards, the first one I purchased back in 1999. I loved the placement of the large trackball. It lasted about 5 years and it worked great, the next one I purchased had problems. It would randomly not type letters, there is nothing like writing an entire email and then noticing that all the D's are missing or some other letter. The other problem it had was that the mouse would get a mind of it's own, if left alone the mouse would randomly wander around the screen in little jerks. I contacted the manufacturer and had a lot of trouble getting it replaced. The manufacturer said I had to return it to the retailer I bought it from, and the retailer said I had to return it to the manufacturer. I finally got the manufacturer to replace it, however the new one still had the problem with the keyboard, but with different letters. I finally had to Frankenstein the keyboard using my old keyboard with the new trackball. The other problem this keyboard has is that the trackball rollers constantly need cleaning, so much so that I had to leave the keyboard screws out as I was opening it at least twice a week. I would only recommend this keyboard if the trackball sensor wheels were replaced with an optical system.

I love the big trackball mechanical keys
I love the big trackball mechanical keys. The trackball has 3 buttons, so if you push the middle button the trackball turns into scroll-ball. Very convenient.! This is not a light cheap keyboard as I've seen other reviews claim. The track ball weighs about as much as a billiard ball and has a good amount of mass making it easy to control. Turn your mouse speed up high and with just a quarter turn, this ball goes from side to side or top to bottom of large screens with speed and ease! If you ever played the arcade game "Missile Command" you will love thisI used to use an IBM M-5 trackball keyboard and since it broke, I've been on a hunt for the best replacement. This Scorpius comes in a close second. My only two complaints.. which I wish I didnt have to bring up.. 1. The Zero key on the num pad is REALLY awkward since its the size of a regular key and under the 2 instead off offset and larger under the 1.The space bar is just about too small for two handed use.. I can deal with that.. but if you need to use the number pad to enter digits like I do, its going to be a hassle. The scroll of the track ball and the directional keys which are lacking on the other Scorpius mechanical trackball keyboard makes this one better, but still not quite perfect. I wish they had made the frame larger and put a regular numpad in there .. thats my only disappointment.

Poorly made
I purchased one of these and the trackball was DOA. Got a replacement. The trackball worked for about seven hours before giving out.

One of a kind, wish the construction was more solid
As far as I know this is a unique product - keyboard with built-in large trackball. There is a newer version of this with USB and big highly visible letters, and smoother ball rotation, but same flimsy construction; If this falls off your desk, or is roughly handled in shipping, it will break. Fortunately, seller did a great job of packing.
