Great. Though not Stiff enough, modded it to my liking (Honda CR-V 2009)
Modified mine slightly since I needed all of the length it could give me. I had their smaller version, 6 or 7 inch one, which was great, but I'm going on a long road trip soon and need to not have to pivot my body to manipulate my phone while driving in alien territories, especially since I'm not a great driver and get lost easily. Anyways this worked for my needs easily.Pros:-That gel-suction cup combo is still one of the best combos out there. To the point that it gets really annoying trying to remove it from your dash to reposition it.-Just the right length to get it near my steering wheel so I can easily manipulate my phone.- I still love the phone holder clamp, best design there is, ensures your phone isn't going anywhere.Cons:-This was the problem with the other one, the wire is just ever so slightly thin enough that when extended fully, heavier phones like Samsung's Note line will cause the arm to go limp. This one is made worse since the wire gauge isn't different, hence why they give you that weird arm brace piece.-The gel pad will leave a residue on your window, and on your dash it may damage it since it's always moist. So I heavily recommend you get one of those plastic disks that has the 3M adhesive on it and place it on your dash first then this on the disk to protect your dash. Arkon 80mm Adhesive Mounting Disk for Car Dashboards GPS Smartphone Dashboard Disc the foam tape doesn't damage the dash (i've only tested this on plastic dashes, the adhesive is quite strong so it would most likely damage leather/vinyl and maybe real wood dashes)Hints and other Information:-So to fix the weak wire issue, I took an old wire hanger that I bought from Walmart, cut the wires (used two segments) to the length of the bendy part and used electrical tape and paracord to bind them to the arm. It made it super stiff, removed most of the jiggling that used to plague this phone holder (wasn't ever too offensive, but was there), and it easily supports the weight of my Note FE with a defender-like case on it.-With the disks, don't go less than 80mm, since I think the suction cup when fully depressed is about 70mm, so it gives you some play room on the disk.-On the Honda, I found placing it on right side of the ridge of the 2009 CRV, and angling it towards me it was fine, but the closer it was to me it got in the way of my hands while driving making turning difficult. In conclusion, this did exactly what I needed it to after a few of my typical tweaks. Definitely recommend this especially if you have a sunken in dash like I do on my Honda CR-V.

Easily the best phone mount I've found
This is, without any doubt, the best phone mount that I've found. So why only 4 stars instead of 5? Read on...The beauty of this mount is that it is 13 inches long, and holds your phone conveniently close. No more reaching across the car. No more reaching up in front of the windshield to get to the phone. I just stick this to the windshield, near the bottom center, and my phone sits just to the right of the steering wheel right over/in front of the air vent. Could not be a better location! As far as stability, it is rock solid. There is a pad that snaps onto the arm of the mount. Its purpose is to rest on the dash board and prevent vertical vibration. It works really well.So why only 4 stars instead of 5? Well, it's a good thing and a bad thing. See, the suction cup is made of a fairly sticky gel. You stick this thing to the window, then flip the clamp to engage the suction cup. And it sticks. BOY does it stick! It sticks so well that you don't really even need to engage the suction cup. Just sticking the gel to the window results in a mount that is so secure that it's actually VERY difficult to remove from the window. You either need very strong fingers, or you need to pry it loose with something that won't damage the material. And that's where this mount loses a star. I want to use this in both my car and rental cars that I used nearly weekly. It's not easy to move. Some people would say "don't rate a product down because it isn't perfect for your application", and agree. But in this case it's fair to say that a removable mount is intended to be moved. And that's just not easy in this case.Still, this is the best mount I've ever come across. And even if you are going to move it from vehicle to vehicle, I enthusiastically recommend it. Just be prepared to do some work to remove it!

Held my phone for a while - UPDATED
So i mounted this low on my windshield so I could use the dash stand part to hold the extended part so it would not wiggle around much. This worked for a while, but the cradle part kept slipping down. I tightened the screw on the back of the cradle and it cracked right in half. This is after maybe a month of using it, so I took a zip tie and tightened it around the screw part. This fixed it for a while. I used it for some months afterwards, but eventually the screw part just wouldn't stay tight and I had to replace it. The screw part really should be made of metal not plastic, it breaks way too easily I wasn't even tightening in that much. That is really the only part that gave me issues, the rest of it worked great. I NEVER had to reattach the suction cup once I put it on. In fact, I had a hard time taking it off when I replaced it.Not sure if I got my money's worth out of this, as my previous holder lasted several years.---------- Update ---------I was surprised to be contacted directly and offered a replacement as apparently my holder was still under warranty. It was very easy working to get a replacement sent out. If I had known it would have been this easy I would have contacted support right away. I wish all support were so easy to deal with. The new one works just as good as the old one, and I've had no problems with it so far. Screw is holding tight on it.I have updated stars to reflect the ease of replacement.
