Having used the old bar design, where the tap is held flat with the handles pushing the vice in, this is so, so much better. I used this to tap new threads into a Gearbox housing, and due to its position and orientation, the traditional holder wouldn't do the job, but this did. The ratcheting is especially useful and can be reversed for clearing the thread after the turn. The fact it goes all the way up to M12 means it's pretty much everything I need from a tap holder. Absolutely would recommend.

This is a very nice tap wrench. The only problem with it is that the chuck will only close down far enough to take a 5mm tap; if it wasn't for that I'd have given it 5 stars. If you only use taps 5mm and above then this is fine.

I required this for working on the under side of my car as expected bolts got sheared and had to be drilled out, this tool made it more accessible for the tap because of the ratchet system it was easy and quick

Ratchet selector is too easy to hit by accident. Jaws are also a little 'iffy' on larger taps.

Nicely made. It does have a ratchet facility. However, when I was taught to tap a thread, you always did a half back turn for every full cutting turn.Anyways good kit, should last a lifetime.

Matériel commandé pour un taraud M12 mais qui n'est pas adapté au carré de 9 mm.Retour Amazon sans problème.
