Flavor? this has no flavor. Tis cast iron.
I ruined my last cast iron griddle thing putting it into my pizza oven. Still using this new one to roast salmon and veg. in that same oven, but have learned my lesson re; oil it after drying it. I do not know why I didn't on my last pan, because I religiously oil my cast iron fry pan that belonged to my grandmother. Hoping my lesson has been learnt. IN any event---this works well on all manner of surfaces. Even the BBQ.

Great for the price!
If money were no object I might give this 3.5 stars, but for the price it is 5 stars. It is great to serve steak, bulgogi and kalbi ribs on. The wood looks a little cheap, but considering the price, it probably is. It works just fine as a holder for the cast iron and looks nice enough. The plate is well made and holds heat well. The separate handle is a nice addition. I just needed one, but at this price you can get 3 or 4 if you want to serve a bunch of sizzling steaks or fajita platters.

Perfect size
These are just what I've been looking for. We made fajitas last weekend and they were sizzling just like the do in the restaurant. I seasoned them in the oven with vegetable oil for an hour. Then we heated them on the grill before serving the fajitas on them!

Cooks steaks perfectly!
I love this steak plate. It cooks my steaks perfectly. You do have to be careful with the handle. I would definitely buy it again.

Save up for a better pan.
This is not well made. The handle does not fit on the pan making it useless. It’s much thinner than other pans I have.

SO good in the Ooni Pizza Oven
There are so many ways to use this - we have used it as a "steak stone" - heating it in the Ooni to 600-650° F - and then you can cook your filet to perfection on your own - makes for GREAT fun at dinner get togethers - and OMG they way it cooks shrimp in the Ooni - no better way in my opinion. It's a GREAT addition to your kitchen - inside or outside kitchen, that is!!!
