Goliath Games Dizzy Letter Disc
Delivery was a week later than stated, which was annoying as was supposed to be birthday present. Used for xmas instead, they loved it! Good fun for older children to play with younger siblings, helps with spellings too!! :)

A fast pace game for all the family
The Game- the aim of the game is to make words and be the last person standing when others are dropped for being 'lost for words'- you take it it in turns to make up a word using the two letters shown on the spinner (with players taking it in turn to spin the spinner). When you're 'lost for words' (can't think of a word) you're out for that round.- the game is really fast paced when the 15 second timer is used, we slowed it down so our just turned 6 year old could join in by letting her have two 15 second goes each turn.Fun?- we did find the game to be fun, my 7 year old and 9 year old were in stitches laughing at some of the fake words that their dad came out with when up against the pressure of the timer!- the game is quick enough to remain fun and doesn't last so long that you lose interest. It is also fast paced due to the timer.- the only arguments we had were over the legitimacy of certain words - having a dictionary on hand would slow the game down but also make it less contentious!- I also think this game will help educationally without the children realising it! Vocab will be extended and it will help with spelling.Longevity- we have only played this game for one evening but I can see it becoming a family staple, we like quick games we can squeeze in whilst a meal is being prepared for example and this one will fit into that sort of slot.Quality- the box feels cheap and flimsy, it is the type of box that typically comes with cheap unbranded board games- the contents work as described but again are quite thin- the quality of the product is such that I don't think it justifies the full RRP

Good game for two to several people
Nice simple game that you can make easier or harder, depending on the age group playing. We had a few different generations playing and the little ones were given all the time they needed to think of a word, whereas the older had to play to the timer. Good fun when there is a lot of you at a family gathering. You can play it without thinking about lots of rules.Recommended

Not much to it - disappointing
The game comprises a spinner (aka Dizzy Letters device), a timer and ten very insubstantial plastic ‘reward tokens’. That’s it.The spinner is simply a selector for a pair of random letters. Press the top and it spins, finishing up pointing to two letters. Players take it in turns to make words of any length using the two letters in any order. Each player has 15 seconds to come up with a word and reset the timer by pressing down on it. If a player fails to think of a word, they’re out until the next round. The last player left gets a token and a new round is started. After ten rounds, the player with the most tokens is the winner. The game does have the benefits that it’s fast-moving, you don’t need pencil & paper, it takes very little space, and you can play for just a few minutes if that’s all the time you have. No assembly or setup is required, and it’s very quick to learn. The game is certainly different. The spinner is quite clever but really just a random letter generator. The timer with ours is poor, running for anything between 12 and 15 seconds. They say it’s suitable for age 7+. I can see more-advanced 7-year-olds playing it, but it wouldn’t work well for mixed ages. I can’t imagine why it’s only for 2-4 players. I’d have thought any number could play. Maybe I’m missing something.I can’t see anyone wanting to play it for very long at a time. Quite honestly, you may as well just let players take it in turn to name a pair of letters as use the spinner. I suppose it would be difficult to find a suitable timer though. We’re quite glad to have it and will certainly play it from time to time, but it will never take the place of other simple word games such as Boggle. Sorry Goliath Games.

Great fun spelling game that ain't an English lesson, honest.
No it is not schooling at home, it is fun, honest. No it is schooling at home...this is like scrabble without the mess, you basically have a random letter spinning type generator that you spin and you must generate a word containing them two letters within 15 seconds for 10 rounds. The player who wins the most rounds (and collects the blue milk tokens) wins the game. It is pretty straightforward for adults, kids I'd be a bit more lenient on the timer part. But rules is rules I hear you say, maybe, but not when it comes to children...let them win, sometimes. The first board game I have played in a while that doesn't require batteries, so that is a winner and to be honest I fully recommend it, as it is great fun. It's easier for kids over 8, and adults all ages. Even though I must say the old grey matter ain't quite like it used to be!If you found this review useful then please click the helpful button below, and be sure to check out our other reviews of products you may also consider purchasing from Amazon.
