I bought this unit because it was the size, style and price I was looking for. There were no reviews, but I took a flier on it because I read the reviews of other Mounting Dream wall mounts and they were very favorable. I would have to say I am extremely satisfied with this mount. I'm using it to mount a Sharp 42" LCD TV. It went up very easily and quickly. The instructions were accurate and easy to follow (I have done this several times before so I'm not a novice). The box came with hardware for mounting to studs or masonry. It also had hardware for flat screens or curved back TV's. I had no problems getting the TV mounted and up on the rails. The fit and finish is excellent. It is sturdy and holds the TV in place nicely. The left or right motion doesn't lock, but it doesn't move by itself. I find it to be balanced very nicely and moving the TV around doesn't take too much effort and it stays where I leave it. You must have 16" apart studs to use this mount. Anything up or down will not work. The only concern I had was hanging the TV on the mount. The hole pattern on my TV was just about as wide as the mount. I didn't have more than 1/8" on either side to spare. But it does have a lock screw on each vertical rail so it stays secure. Bottom line...this is a very good unit and I'm very satisfied with it. I would definitely purchase a Mounting Dream wall mount for my next project.

This is my second mounting dream TV wall mount. This mount seems to be very well constructed, especially for the price. I was happy with my standard wall mount I got the first time. This swivel mount works exactly how I needed it to and holds my 46" Samsung with no issues. I ended up flipping mine upside down but it's the same both ways EXCEPT... the center swivel point is not in the center. Your TV will be center depending how you fold the arm but it's about an 1-1/2" off (see pics) if folding the arm in the other direction. I needed that extra length to get mine centered so that's why I flipped it and it is almost perfect. I also took off the front of the bracket that tilts and corrected it to tilt down, not up since I flipped it. Overall this wall mount is great and perfect for me and my situation. I wanted to be able to view it from my deck somewhat and this allows that to a certain degree. The hardware seems ok but dont use an impact drill to tighten the lag bolts and dont over tighten. I've read people breaking them or having TVs fall off the wall due to heads breaking. I believe that's from over tightening, using an impact drill to drive them in and maybe not pre drilling a slightly smaller diameter hole than the bolt. I put felt pads on the folding arm because it does touch the wall (at least the direction I fold it for the extra 1-1/2") but it's an easy fix. I am very happy with this brand and will be buying more as I start to hang all my TVs. Dont forget to check the front plate to make sure its leveled. Mine wasn't out of the box. Also level the mounting, install it then level the front plate that the TV brackets hook on to for best results.

This is the second Mounting Dream mount I bought and I purchased this one because I liked the first one so much. This one was even better than the first. What did I like about this product? - First included with this mount is a peel and stick template with a peel and stick bubble level. Once you find the center of your stud, you mark your cross lines, attach the template and drill. Fine adjustments to the level can be made once the TV is mounted. The mount pulls away from the wall and will allow left to right movement as well as left to right tilt. You can have glare free viewing in any lighting situation.Prior to buying my first mount I saw that they had a customer service department who would answer compatibility questions prior to purchase. This will allow you to make sure that the mount will support your TV AND most importantly to verify that the mount wont prevent your cables from being attached. I wrote and asked and was given the OK.I have a fairly basic knowledge of "handyman" stuff and a basic set of tools. This was easy to install and every part supplied necessary for mounting is clearly labeled and bagged. If I can mount this TV bracket on the wall and get it level, anyone can.

Very high quality bracket that works great! Good flexibility in positioning it and clear instructions, including a paper template for drilling holes into the wall. But, even with all the screw/washer/spacer options that this bracket package includes, all TVs are different, so you might need to find screws that are the right length for the TV (or you can combine the spacers, washers, etc. to get the correct height). Also, when attaching the bracket, be careful not to put the screws near to where the bracket will attach, since if you use spacers and washers (see above), they will stick out of the TV and might impede the bracket if they are next to where the bracket hitches on. Very happy with how the bracket is working!

This is a solid unit with a smooth swing action. There are a few caveats:1. The tilt adjustment bolts come quite loose, so if mounting a heavier unit without a helper you may want to tighten them to your desired angle before attaching the bracket to the wall.2. If you're mounting on wood studs, save yourself some time and use structural screws rather than the provided lag bolts. You'll really want a socket wrench or impact driver rather than the suggested spanner to get that last 1/2" of the lag bolt into the stud.3. 100x100 VESA units can be mounted directly, but the adapter rails for any other size are hooked over the bracket and held it in place with only two small, non-locking bolts pressing against a track. This means the unit can slide horizontally if you really jostle it. You may want to devise a fix for this design flaw before mounting to the wall.4. You can level it to be straight when all the way in, or level it to be straight when all the way out, but not both. There's about a 1 degree tilt as the action moves.

I used it to put up a 45" TV on a sheetrock wall.It comes with a shockingly good set of instructions written in clear English with clear pictures. It describes a wide variety of setup options depending on your wall material.It comes with a really nice mounting template so you can easily install the lag bolts into the studs. It even comes with a small stick on level so you can make sure the template is level! It also has another larger level to make sure the mount is level.All of the needed bolts, nuts, screws, etc. are included. The only you need is a drill with a bit and a screw driver.There is even an option int he instructions to split the mount into two and thus have two mounts; one nonadjustible flush mount and one tiltable mount.It is made of good solid metal and the included hardware is also good.It attached to the wall easily in about an hour total work time.It is very solid and secure and easy to adjust.I would definitely recommended this mount to anyone who needs one

Great product, comes with multiple sized machine screws to secure your TV and includes a template bristal page and a mini level.
