Fantastic product that saved me a ton of money!!
Great stuff! I had a split in a 300 gal agricultural spray tank. Facing big bucks to replace the tank, I decided to take a gamble with this plastic weld epoxy. The spit was in 90 degree angled molded-in area. I drilled a hole at each end of the split to keep it from spreading. I then cut a vee in the split the length of the split. I drilled several holes about 3/16" apart the length of the split. I cleaned it several times with acetone and sanded it in between each cleaning. I cleaned the inside as best I could by spraying the split with brake cleaner several times. Then I mixed the epoxy as per directions and using rubber gloves, pressed the epoxy into the split so as to force it through and make a bulge on the inside. I allowed it to cure a couple of hours then applied 4 more coats, curing a couple of hours in between each coat. After it cured 24 hours, the epoxy remained somewhat flexible. I filled the tank to above the split with water and hooked it behind my tractor and drove up and down a rough gravel road at top speed for about 4 miles to see if it would leak. It is dry as a bone! I am thrilled with this product! It saved me a ton of money for a new tank and I highly recommend it! J-B Weld products have always proven themselves to me. I used plain J-B Weld to build up an axle housing that had elongated when a bearing went out. Can't say enough good things about J-B Weld products!
