“Suspend belief in this slim-line box set and you’ll be rewarded with a barrel full of laughs as Elle [Reece Witherspoon] fights and challenges prejudices of all sorts, you might even pick up a fashion tip or two.Legally blonde [2001] Elle comes across as the stereotypical ditzy blond sorority queen, but when her boyfriend dumps her because she is not serious enough, she decides she wants to study for a law degree in order to win him back. Brilliant one liners abound in this farcical romp through Yale Law School yet we also see just how bitchy people can be so has it’s serious moments as well in this thought provoking script as people continually put her down, then she decides to fight back…….. How can you not give this *****.LB2: red white & blue [2003] sees Elle about to be married but when she tracks her dogs mother down to an animal testing facility, she doesn’t go nuts, she goes to Washington DC to change the law -well she taught her dog to shop on-line, it’s got to be a cinch –right? Much the same plan as the first but seems a lot more forced and the sitcom is a little stale, merely repeating much of the first film and it is overly sentimental in its approach but in the end it works and the scene in the dog parlour is hilarious, yet the cheerleaders on the steps scene is cringe worthy. ****LB3: Legally Blondes [2009] is a direct to DVD movie and merely trades on the character of Elle and the name of the first two movies. Has more in common with ’Mean Girls’ with elements of ’Cruel Intentions and the modern ’St Trinians’ as two English Twins end up at an exclusive prep school and fall foul of the main mean girl. A good watch once you enter into it but does nothing for the franchise. A grudging ****.The scripts are preposterous and full of flaws [Elle graduates in 2004, but LB2 has her in a job and engaged in 2003] but who can resist that naïve charm of kookie Elle as she takes on the world. The third film doesn’t really belong here, it’s a different beast but these are all great feel-good movies where the underdogs triumph, unfortunately there is some mild swearing and adult talk making these a 12 age rating, which is a shame as they could quite easily have been even more family orientated.

similar plots to " the princess diaries" she sometimes speaks so fast that you cant understand what she is saying.

I just love the whole idea of the film. The characters are great, so relatable. It’s the perfect ‘chick flick’ for those cosy nights in.Also having all 3 films together in one case is even better. If you’re after a fun, easy going, funny film (or 3) this is it. Enjoy

Legally Blonde 1 and 2 featuring Reese Witherspoon are fantastic. She is outstanding in the role and I enjoyed both films enormously. No.3 did not quite hit the same high level but, nevertheless, is very good in its own way. I think I would probably have enjoyed it much more had I left a couple of weeks gap between viewing the first two and the third.

The first film is captivating and very funny. The second film is OK bot not as good as the first. The third is very poor.

Really enjoyed the three films of the boxset. Thought there was only one, but how wrong was I. All three films are great and are well worth the watch.

Je suis déçue c'était un cadeau je l'ai offert et il n'est même pas en français,c'est un cadeau empoisonné que j'ai fais, en plus il y a écrit que c'est en français et allemand, c'est mensonger, je ne sais pas comment faire pour me faire rembourser alors que la fenêtre de remboursement est fermée depuis le 1er novembre.
