The Clock Repairer?s Bench Manual: Everything you need to know When Repairing Mechanical Clocks Paperback – August 9, 2018

It appears to have been written and edited by someone who has been working on clocks for years, so I think you get a first hand account of his experience. The pictures could be more professional but again I think they are authentic and are a very good representation of what was done and what you need to do.

I enjoy reading this book and applying its directions. Easy to use and understand. Apart from from some minor, and amusing, typographical and typesetting errors, it is highly recommended.

Book is well written! Many illustrations to go along with the text.

Good manual for clock movement information.

I purchased the book for the repair of a cuckoo clock.Never having taken on clock repair, I thought it would lead me through the process of disassembly , repair and reassembly.Several key areas need refined. The movement of the Regula was shown in an exploded view with each part having a name. The author of the book then used different nomenclature for the disassembly and pointed out the important alignment of parts prior to removing the case halves of the clock. Well, that was a waste of time. Even referencing the photos which were not indexed to the text of the book left me confused. It appeared that the book was a mixture of photos and text from several references and slapped together as some sort of reference for the reader to decode. I didn't get the decoder ring with the book.My most helpful reference ended up being Youtube which gave me real information.There is some helpful information but I should have purchased a book specific to Cuckoo clocks.

This is a great book as i just got interested in clocks .This is the only book you will ever need its takes you from the very basics to some detailed work in very precise logical steps...well written great pictures and diagrams ..It is for basic novice and even a professional would find it useful ....got to go now as i have a sticky clock to fix....

Found this to be a really good book for me as a beginner, yes some of the photos and statements are out of sync but overall it is a detailed and useful book to have on my workbench. 2 clocks repaired and working since I purchased this.

Only dropped a star because some of the photos are not of the best quality. But apart from that a very good book.

Good book to help the newcomer to clock repair. I use this book in conjunction with You tube videos. Very good pictures with easy to understand information

some of the pictures are very poor not clear enough I wouldn't say it was worth what I paid for it pictures in black and white
