Great buy for the gym
I’ve had these gloves for about a month now. I don’t use them everyday but a couple times a week. They are pretty comfortable and they work great for weight lifting. I also practice calisthenics and they do the job quite well, very good grip. I would say these are true to size, make sure to really check the chart and measure out your hand before you buy.Update:As mentioned before I (and my boyfriend) calisthenics, and we both have the same Adidas gloves just different sizes. We had to get new pairs bc we were blistering through the gloves. It’s just very thin specially for pull ups, muscle ups, front levers are very grip heavy and there’s a lot of friction so it wasn’t doing the trick for us. If you do other things like deadlifts stuff like that, they’re amazing! I actually still use them for those type of things but just for pull ups, muscle ups etc we got different pairs.

Not strong enough the second time around
Second time buying them, I lost one of the gloves thats why I had to buy it again, however the second time around it didn’t seem to be as strong. There was thread reeling out between the fingers after a few uses and washes

Great at first then not so much
Really wanted to like these gloves. The fit was fine. They are a little snug at first but stretch out and they have enough give in the material it was never an issue during use.If you don’t like snug, buy one size up.About four months in I saw the first small tear which isn’t unusual, but then I was surprised how quickly they then began to wear. I’m used to gloves lasting about 6ish months so a limited lifespan is expected. But I was unfortunately surprised at the degree of tearing and just plain wearing out that occurred. I’m not super rough on my gloves so to see holes from wear was unusual. Tearing and Velcro seem to be the biggest issue I’ve had with others.I will say the Velcro and wrist fit is still going and shows no sign of give. So did they put some quality into the glove. Unfortunately just not enough to make it a go to product for me.

4 years and going strong. Best durability of any glove so far.
I’ve had mine for about 4 years and no major rips yet. For comparison, every other gloves I owned usually rips where the thumb meets the forefinger after about a year. Fits well and comfortable too.

Excellent
These are great. I bought these after having trouble with my previous pair; the velcro kept turning my smart watch's lock function off. The velcro on these are on the bottom, so problem solved. These do run a bit small, though. I needed an XL and usually am a M.

Adequate for beginners, but serious gym enthusiasts should look elsewhere.
The Adidas Essential Gloves, while marketed as a budget-friendly workout companion, fall short in delivering the quality needed for serious gym sessions. After testing them specifically with dumbbell workouts, several limitations became apparent. The gloves provide basic palm protection, but the grip feels less secure compared to leather alternatives. The synthetic materials used, while lightweight, don't inspire confidence during heavy lifting sessions. There's a noticeable difference in durability and feel when compared to leather gloves. One potential advantage is their breathability, as the lightweight construction allows for decent airflow. However, this comes at the cost of durability and protection. The padding, while present, doesn't provide the same level of comfort and support that you'd find in higher-end leather options. The decision to switch to leather gloves proved to be the right choice. Leather gloves typically offer superior grip, better durability, and more reliable protection during intensive workouts. While the Adidas Essential Gloves might work for very casual gym-goers or beginners, they're not the best choice for regular weightlifting sessions.Worth noting: Their budget-friendly price point might be appealing, but investing in quality leather gloves is more cost-effective in the long run.
