Better than expected

Good product and clean look

I bought a set of four of these about ten years ago. If I forget to take them off before I go to the tire shop, one gets lost each time. The store where I bought them hasn't handled them since, so was going to replace them all with plastic caps, then thought to check Amazon. I've got enough to replace the ones the tire shop loses now.Also, though I live in the desert and don't see a lot of road salt, the aluminum still corrodes and the threads will gall (stick). A little grease applied to the valve stem threads occasionally prevents that from happening. Also, by applying to the exposed threads of the stem, I don't have to find a cotton swab to get the grease into the cap.

The valve stems on my wheels are tucked in enough to make them difficult to grasp. So I really appreciate the knurled pattern on these making them easy to grip and twist on/off. They are heavier than one would expect for such a small item… Enough to actually notice a slight imbalance at (high) speed during highway driving.

I have a Toyota prius and have enjoyed this car. One of the small things I have always had difficulties with are the recessed, tiny valve stem caps. I have a back tire with a slightly rusted rim that consistently loses air. So every fill up (approximately every two weeks) I need to put in air. It is always a chore, especially during the wintertime with gloves, to try to reach into this small recessed opening in the wheel well and gripped these small valve stem caps. They have always been too small and are difficult to grip and turn. I just put these on the other day. They are solid, with striations going in opposite directions so that they are very easy to get on and get off the tire. I went to fill my tires and all I needed to do was reach down and turn these and they came right off. I usually have to hunt and twist three or four times until I can get the valve stem cap to begin to move. I can't comment on long-term durability but these seem solid. They do not appear plastic or flimsy.

Valve stem caps are EXACTLY as pictured. They look and feel well made.
