Don't buy one if you're going to put in out in the sun... which is why you WANT a tarp in the first place
Won't hold up even in mild temperatures. It almost never gets above 80 degrees where I live, but look at what happened to the tarp when it was left folded up on my driveway for a week. Never got above 80 degrees!See where it shrunk and bunched up? That's permanent and it got thicker where it shrunk. Don't buy one if you plan on having it in the sun. This is a photo of the tarp hanging from a Genie lift so you can see it. See the shrunken area near the top? Ridiculous.

Indestructible Awesome Tarp
wife here: WORTH THE MONEY. We needed a tarp that was practically indestructible. Well, this is it! We needed to make an outside area for our alpaca to lay down under when it rains or snows. We constructed 4 posts and literally wrapped and nailed this tarp to them DURING A HUGE STORM in the DARK! Haha. Seventy mile per hour winds, holes made by nails, supported with ropes through the many riveted holes and it is SO wonderful. Not one nail hole ripped beyond where we put it. It holds up to strong winds, and keeps on keeping those sweet big eyed babies dry and happy. They can lay outside their barn (which they love to do because they are nosey) and watch the world go by. Thanks so much for this tremendous product.I want to say that we normally would not have nailed through this beautiful tarp, but we were desperate at the time. It didn't matter. It works great.

I waited a few months to write a review, because I wanted to see if the two tarps I bought would hold-up as well as they looked like they might--and they greatly exceeded my expectations! I have to tarp the front half of my roof until I can afford to have it replaced--and I've had to do this for a few years--and I've gone through more than a few tarps! But these two are by far the best I've ever bought: they made it, unscathed, through a hot, but rainy, summer and a very rainy fall and winter. Naturally, they're gonna wear out (and the nightmare of water pouring through the ceiling will begin again), but when I have to replace them, I'll buy two more of these--and from this vendor, because they were shipped super fast!

Best tarp I have ever used by far...
Best tarp ever, lots of eyelets that are reinforced, The thickness of the tarp far exceeded my expectations. I put this over my woodpile and wood splitter. I bought 1/4 inch rope to tie it down, but I haven't replaced the orange twine that I set it up with yet. I bought the 16 X 20, which seems to have plenty of room.

made it through the winter
I used this tarp on my boat this winter. Much cheaper than shrink wrap. I chose it for the heavy gauge, hoping it would make it through the winter and maybe more than one. I have used lighter tarps in the past and they never survived the whole season. It was a brutal winter on the east coast...and I did not get the chance to get it attached a perfect as I had hoped. The schedule and weather kept me away from the boat most of the season...and I feared the worst. Last weekend I found it still attached and covering everything it was supposed to. No through tears...or ripped out eyelets. It was pretty worn in a couple of areas and I would not trust it for another season, but it will get good use for utility work this summer and hauling leaves in the Fall, when I will buy another for next winter.

This expensive and allegedly heavy duty tarp was actually a cheap piece of crap. I bought it less than 3 months ago and it has just sat folded in my garage after one use outdoors on one day. Now the tarp is disintegrating and coming apart right at the folded seams! I can't believe I spent $50 on a tarp that lasted me 3 months.

Upgraded to this tarp from the cheap blue ones that were about half the price. So far, this tarp has held up a lot longer than that one but I fear it won't last another year. After a few months of use, the tarp isn't separating yet but it is flaking all over where water pools up. I guess the water breaks down the laminate and is creating a flaking that was all over me when I pulled off the tarp. It is starting to discolor one the side that is exposed to the elements. Turning from brown to white. Hope it lasts another year.

5 Year Tarp
I am replacing this tarp with another one of the same model after 5 years of use. Use it to cover my boat in the winter in southeast Washington where we get 50+ MPH winds. It has held up to the winds extremely well. The tarp is getting thin and one of the grommets tore free so I knew it was time to get a new one. Never had a tarp last more than 2 years before.
