Wholesome Organic Blackstrap Molasses, 16 oz, 1-Pack

I love it! I put a little in my coffee and it's excellent in cookies. I often make a version of caramel popcorn where I melt butter, add dark brown sugar, and a spoon of blackstrap molasses, let it boil a bit and pour it over freshly popped microwave popcorn in large bowl or dutch oven. Stir it up carefully, it's hot. Let it cool down, and then it's mega good. Reminds me a bit of a childhood favorite "Cracker Jack" without the peanuts. Anyway, this brand is priced right, great quality, and the taste is addictive. No bitterness, just yummy.

I am so absolutely impressed and delighted with the flavor of this molasses.! I have to admit I ordered this because it was half the price of the other organic competition! The same ingredients in all USDA approved organic I just could not believe the beautiful Rich flavor of it that I can take right off a teaspoon and put it in my mouth which takes away my sweet tooth and gives me iron. I'm so in love with this product. Thank you Wholesome for not gouging us.

Absolutely awesome molasses nice thick and very sweet and Rich

Everyone has a different reason for wanting to use molasses, especially for that added jolt of 750mg of potassium. Me? I’ve been using it successfully to avoid extreme anemia and also for old-fashioned ginger cookies which I adore. On the Wholesome Sweeteners site, they offer up one by Chef Malika Ameen, which I’ve included below. There’s a decent jolt of iron in the Wholesome Sweeteners Organic Molasses at 15%. I was at the docs again yesterday and so far I’ve been avoiding those specialized iron shots. A tablespoon away seems to be doing the trick. This molasses does have a strong taste, but that’s to be expected with blackstrap molasses. I’m finding that it’s not only good for iron intake, but also a nice little energy booster. Cookies not so much so, but good for an emotional boost. I do like the fact that it’s Fairtrade Certified in addition to being USDA certified. It’s so much better than having to take pills or, worse yet, get shots. Chewy Ginger Cookies By Chef Malika Ameen INGREDIENTS: 1 cup all-purpose flour 1 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp sea salt 1/2 tsp ground Vietnamese cinnamon 1/4 tsp ground ginger 1 tsp ground cardamom 1/4 tsp ground white pepper 1/4 tsp Fairtrade cocoa powder 3/4 cup Wholesome Sweeteners Fairtrade Organic Sugar 2 tbsp Wholesome Sweeteners Fairtrade Organic Light Brown Sugar 2 tsp orange zest 5 tbsp melted butter at room temperature, preferably European style 1 Cage-free organic egg white 1 1/2 tsp freshly grated ginger 2 tbsp Wholesome Sweeteners Fairtrade Organic Molasses 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract 1/4 tsp Wholesome Sweeteners Fairtrade Organic Sugar, for rolling Directions: In a bowl, combine flours, baking soda, salt, spices and cocoa. Whisk together. In another medium sized bowl mix together organic sugars and orange zest. Rub together gently with your fingers to release the oils in the zest. Add butter and beat together on medium speed until combined. Beat in egg white, fresh ginger, organic molasses and vanilla until smooth. Add in flour mixture all at once and beat on low until thoroughly mixed. Chill dough overnight. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silpat. Place 1/4 cup of sugar in a plate. Scoop 1 tsp of dough and roll between the palm of your hands to make an even ball. Roll dough in organic sugar making sure all sides are coated. Place on baking tray. Repeat with remaining cookies. If dough begins to get warm, chill for 5-7 minutes before baking. Bake cookies 8-10 minutes maximum for chewy cookies. Great flavor,rich and last long

Nothing wrong with the product but want to tell you it needs to be packed better. The molasses had leaked out of the bottle top and over the brown sugar. I was able to clean it up--not complaining, but the bottle needs to be protected better so it doesn`t loosen up around the screw top. I don`t know how to post photos and have thrown the sticky mess away already.

The quality is excellent it’s thick like molasses should be the only downfall is the bottle it comes in is ridiculous in that you flip the lid and there’s a small hole where you’re supposed to try to squeeze molasses out of that’s really a joke I mean good grief how do you squeeze something thick of that why don’t they put this in a jar? It would make it for easier access to get a teaspoon out of. Please put this in a jar and I will buy again

This was a fantastic price for organic molasses which led me to believe that they were not Blackstrap. The label on the Amazon ad does not clearly display this. It is in fine print on the back. Not what I was hoping for but still a great product. I have to give the product itself a 4 ,but Amazon gets a One Star again for its poor product description.

Helps bring up the iron levels. I've been struggling with anemia because of hookworms. Cleanses haven't been able to eradicate the hookworms, so I needed something to help my energy levels. This seems to help. I use a liquid iron now that works better since I couldn't really stand the taste of the molasses after a while. But I use it once in a while in cookies or beans and it adds a really nice flavor.

Order arrived exceptionally well packaged in an Amazon box. Quality of the product is highly superior to another brand that I have purchased earlier, through amazon too, and unfortunately I had to throw 6 jars in the bin as a result of the poor quality and no customer service. Wholesome organic unsulphured blackstrap molasses has a shiny, fresh, and syrupy texture to it. The taste is delicious. Pours with ease from the bottle. I tried it directly from the spoon and it does not stick in your throat like the other brand, goes down easily and has a beautiful taste and a fresh aroma to it. It dilutes properly even in water and could be used in recipes without ruining it. If you are looking for quality blackstrap molasses look no more this is the product for you. I highly recommend it!

Purchased for the first time to use in the garden, thus only time will tell?
