Perfect fit 2015 Subaru Outback, easy install!
Exact fit on our 2015 Subaru Outback. Easy change out…just pry the metal clasp up on each end of strut, pull the strut of the nub and then just press the new one on. Just need a small regular screwdriver.I used a wooden dowel rod to prop the hood open for this job.For less than $20 bucks our hood works as good as new! Holds the hood strong. Didn’t realize how weak the originals were until I replaced them.Highly recommend.

Great replacements for my 2015 Subaru Legacy
Our front hood lift supports had gotten weak and would not always hold the hood up. This tuff set was very reasonably priced for the set and super easy to install. Took less than 5 minutes. All I needed was a flat head screwdriver to pry on the support clip.These appear to be very well made and time will tell how they ultimately perform.

Works like a Champ!!
These hydraulic hood support pistons work perfectly on a 2015 Subaru Outback (4 cyl. model). They install easily once you figure out the trick to removing / replacing the OEM spring clip on the bottom of the strut. One of my Outback struts lost its 'mojo', and the hood will absolutely not stay open with just one strut working. This set replaces both struts (passenger and driver sides). I think these work better than the OEM Subaru part (which costs a lot more). Nothing is more frustrating than trying to do something under the hood when the hood won't stay up!! And, propping the hood up with something is just begging to get bonked on the head with the hood when the prop slips out (and it will).Note - A very short, or right angle, screwdriver/pry tool helps immensely. You have to get a short tool into the tight space where the spring clip is located on the lower end to expand it enough to remove it. You cannot remove the OEM Subaru strut without removing this clip! The hood side is a breeze, but the lower fender side is trickier.

These are a great replacement set for worn stock hood struts. They are well made and easy to switch out.

These did not hold up or lift the hatchback door on my Subaru Outback.
