I bought this to help my dog get traction on our hardwood floors. I have dark finish floors and the tape was very visible (not clear at all). We actually have wood laminate faux wood floors and when I went to remove the tape, it peeled of some of the laminate and left glue residue. It was on there good!!Also, my dog couldn't figure out how to walk on them but that's not of any fault to this product. Just in case anyone is looking for a solution to their pets sliding on your floors, I bought small area rugs the same color as my floors at Walmart for $4 and they work much better. I'll tried it all and that has been the best solution.

Tried this on a long shot. Works great. Wanted something I could cut with scissors, and attach to the bottom of glass bottles and collectibles, to avoid having them dance off of glass shelves during minor disturbances, such as a small earthquake. Works great! You have to lift the bottles to move them, as they no longer slide across a glass shelf easily. Just a little piece of mind.

I slipped on my painted basement stairs before I put this on them. Now I have not slipped once and after several months they are still as snug to the stairs as when I put them on. I did do a very thorough cleaning of the stairs before I installed them. They are not as sheer as I had hoped they would be though, and I would never put them on my nice staircase to the second floor. That said, if your stairs are a safety issue who cares that you can see them.

Seeing the picture, I thought it was transparent, but the result was black.
