This is the second time I've bought this cable because of use and mistreatment; the previous one was already failing after several years of use, which was necessary to take advantage of the good image quality of this connection or port on devices that have this option.

Good cord for monitor

Upon first trying this cable with my wife's legacy MacBook we were pleased. We bought it to stream web app programming to our HDTV and the results are quite decent. Not full 1080p quality, but good enough to find our show immersive and satisfying. Hookup was a cinch. For items like this, be sure you have a manufacturer's warranty that can be relied on since Amazon's 30 day return policy will come and go quickly.

I just got a refurbished iMac for myself, and unlike newer macs with USB-C thunderbolt ports, this mac has a pair of mini Display Port thunderbird slots. This simple miniDP to HDMI cable allowed me to plug and play a 2nd 27" monitor to double my screen real estate. The 3' compact length prevents excess cable clutter. Perfect cable for my needs and very inexpensive. Would recommend to anyone needing this type of combo cable.

A high quality connector for a little used socket. Works perfectly.

Extremely high quality cable and connectors for the price.

Plugged this into my 2017 MacBook Air and then to my Emerson TV and bam, it worked. The picture on the TV seems even better quality than the picture on the screen. The sound comes through well, though if the audio is already playing on the Macbook before I plug it back in to the TV, sometimes it doesn't reroute through the TV. When that happens, I pause the audio, unplug from the Macbook, plug it back in, and resume play. So far, this has fixed the problem every time. Plugging it in changes the aspect ratio on my Macbook, but it isn't a big deal, and it goes back to default whenever it's unplugged. This has been a great fix between my WiFi BluRay player aging itself out of supporting streaming services and upgrading my TV to a smart one.
