Purchased ladder for sandbar use in Gulf of Mexico
Super affordable. Bought this for primarily going out to a sandbar in the Gulf of Mexico. Water is placid most days. I assume it would work well in deeper waters. Very easy to assemble and it folds on itself for storage. Compact design and good quality.

We like it.
WE like it because it's exactly what we needed, except for the fact that it is a bit longer than what we expected, but other than that, it's fine.

Does not go very deep.
I’m giving this a lower than average rating even though it’s 4 stars. Here is my argument.First the pros.It works. That is what I bought it for so it automatically gets 4 stars.I can hook it over the back fence when not in use so storage is easy. Here’s the cons.Non of these justifies dropping a star. It’s not very long making it somewhat difficult to get up for anyone over 5.5ft tall. The screws don’t seem to be as tight as they should be making it a pain to line everything up to fold it.It take a minute to get used to how much this ladder flexes under weight.

So far so good
So far so good, feel like it might snap easily. Serves our purpose.

Beware of the last step . . . it could be your last
I was at first impressed with this seemingly sturdy ladder but after a few seasons leading up to this season, I used it fortunately in calm waters and in a perfect situation because when I climbed on the first step to get into the boat, the lowest rung I stepped on nearly slipped off of the ladder. Fortunately, I'm athletic enough to propel myself onto the other rungs that were out of the water and thankfully holding well enough to get up. I was alone at the time and thought in the event this was an emergency, it could have been disastrous or even fatal. The fortunate remedy is fairly easy to fix and that is to insert either screws or bolts and nuts holding each rung to hold it in place. I happily did that to mine and recommended it or maybe the manufacture has other remedies? I wouldn't recommend relying on it unless you or someone else did these measures I said to it before using it.

It’s an ok ladder
This ladder is a disappointment. We went from a 3 step ladder to a 4 step one to make it easier to get back on the boat. Unfortunately, this is not the case. The top rung is only a couple of inches below the deck of the boat. The other 3 are similar to what we have with our 3 step ladder. The ladder floats in the water when installed and can’t find a way to keep the steps down in water. It does fold up easily for easy storage and for the price, is an ok ladder.

Perfect for me
Easy to install works Great! Easy to store. I installed the bases off my transom. This so much better than the over the sides one that was so hard to get in the boat with. Like this one so much better.
