Not for cricut
I bought this wood to use with my Cricut. My knife blade broke after 3 projects using this wood. I wouldn’t recommend it for Cricut. My knife blade was brand new and broke in one day. It’s nice quality wood but not for Cricut.

Simple Shapes Will Work on Cricut for Wood Projects
I bought this wood for a project. I used the Cricut Maker to cut shapes. It is not the wood that is the problem, it's the Cricut Maker. If you use simple shapes like a circle or square, the Cricut Maker can cut these shapes just fine. If you have a more intricate design, the Cricut Maker will not work well. You are better off using a laser cut machine instead. The Cricut Maker stopped mid-cut numerous times, froze and had to be restarted. On the 4th attempt, it managed to cut the wood longer, but it destroyed my design on the wood. Cricut company needs to improve their machines to cut wood better in my opinion. I can't place the blame on this seller for these issues because the wood is fine and the description was accurate. I received my shipment fast and it is what I ordered. Hope this helps other fellow Cricut hobbyists.

CRICUT WILL CUT THESE!! 🙌
So far I’ve only done shapes but it’s cutting them like a dream! The only thing that I have found that the cricut will cut without it being a disaster. Game changer.

Perfect for my wood burning projects.
Beautiful pieces of wood and very fine grain. No dark spots or wood knots in any of the slabs.

The first and the last time for me.
I’ll start by saying this is the first time I’ve attempted to cut wood with my Cricut Maker. Based on a few other reviewers I thought it was worth a try. I bought a new knife blade and housing, I bought this wood, new mats and some small woodpile pieces from a local craft store. They seemed a little thicker but they were cheap so I used them to cut a few name tags for gifts as a test. I’d planned to cut several fruit shapes and glue the different layers together with this wood for a painting activity for a baby shower. Now, I’ve had trouble with my scoring wheel housing popping up from clamp B occasionally, and I noticed it happened with my knife housing a couple times. I tried contacting Cricut but their auto-reply makes is sound like any help from them is going to be a week or two away, and I don’t have time for that. I ran over 20 passes on both of the pictured wood pieces and as you can see it cut through a little more than half the thickness. Even if it was going through all the way, it’s chipping so bad on the pineapples I wouldn’t be able to use those. In about 24 hours you can see what I’ve gotten done. I’m not completely sure it’s the wood, maybe the blade is already dull, maybe it’s my now aching hands, or my impatience. I will likely not try to cut wood ever again with my Cricut. I’ve made countless cards, I’ve enjoyed decorating in unexpected ways with vinyl, but this is not for me. I’ve just placed an order for the 15 cutouts I need online and these pieces are going in the trash!

Done everything I needed
I bought this wood to make ornaments and my daughters announcement. I tried first cutting out the onesies on my explore air 2 and it wasn’t great. It took a lot of passes and time to get it to mostly cut through. I ended up getting a maker and it’s been cutting so much better on that. The wood is sturdy and has done everything I’ve needed it for so far. If you are using a cricut maker, just be mindful of small cuts. Those won’t work on this wood or any wood with the knife blade. Overall I’m very happy with this basswood and I would buy it again
