Great flat pedals for the money
I use these for both my old Klein Palomino and my new Transition Sentinel. So far, a good pick for both bikes. Being older, I no longer use clipless and prefer grippy flats. I no longer do rides which will stress either my old joints or my old (or new) bicycles, so these pedals have served me well over the last 8 months.

It works
Better than my stock pedals. Very comfortable and holds my feet in place.

The best flat pedal out there
This is my third set of these pedals and no problems yet. They will shred your shins if you get to close to the pins though!

Great Value - Great Grip
UPDATE: After 10 months of use - 1 - 3 times a week out on the trail - I still absolutely love these pedals. They have been incredibly sturdy, give a stable and grippy platform, and wear well with pedal strikes. Still have all their pins and look good. I would absolutely buy these again.Quick tip (my quick opinion): I love these pedals. I did a bunch of research before buying them (I am far from an impulse buyer who likes to get the most "bang for my buck") so I knew what to expect. These pedals have performed exactly as I had hoped. If you are looking for a solid platform, great grip, and good quality, these pedals are for you.Description (a little detail that informed my opinion): These pedals have a large platform and a low profile. As a result, they feel very steady on the trail but they don't feel bulky. I mainly ride x-country mountain bike single tracks, but am learning to jump and like to ride aggressively. I switched from clipless to these platforms to improve my form (specifically on jumping but in general as well). When I am bombing a hill, my feet don't move. In fact, there have been times I had to lift my foot to readjust it on the pedal because once I was locked in, my feet weren't moving. The obvious benefit of this is that I experience little or no pedal slip when I hit super technical terrain or drop offs. My feet just sick. Now, I do ride with 5/10 Freerider shoes (one of the grippiest mountain bike shoes you can ride), but I am guessing the pins on these pedals are long enough that they would grip just as well with any flat bottomed shoe (like Vans). The pedals look good and have worn well so far. I have had some rock strikes and a lot of root strikes and I haven't lost any pins or had any damage to the pedal body. The only knock I have on them is that they can't be tightened with a wrench. You have to use an allen wrench. I knew this going in and have no problem with that, but it would be convenient if they had a seating area for wrench tightening.Like all good platform pedals with pins, you do have to look out when you crash or have to pull your feet off the pedals in panic mode. I have bloodied up the back of my calves from pin punctures... nothing really painful, but I have learned to wear tall socks. The benefit of the grip far outweighs the occasional injury - I got hurt way more when my feet were slipping off the pedals.Overall, great value and a good investment. I'll update this in 6 months or so if anything changes.

VP-Vice Pedals are fantastic! Get a pair, but check the buyer!
There are some interesting patterns that you'll see if you read through the reviews. Some people recevied their pedals shrink wrapped, and they scratch the other pedal in transport. Some people get new pedals in a box, and life is wonderful because they got an awesome pedal set at an awesome price. And some people get pedals in a box that look brand new, but have blown bearings. I'm in that third group.I bought this pair from cyclingdeal_usa, fulfilled by Amazon. I was happy to see the pedals arrive looking brand new in a box similar to the one my first Vices showed up in about five years ago. I'm a huge fan of these pedals, and the fact that I have a the titanium pins for my primary bike, and that they're now as ridiculously affordable as they are means it makes sense to put these on the other bikes in the house.I bought these for my son's bike, and the look great, but there was a click with each stroke on the left pedal. I threw them on my bike, on the titanium pins, and there was still a click with each stroke. I changed out the bearings (I had a rebuild kit on hand) and boom, the pedals are exactly as they should be, and the click is gone.Like some other people's reviews, my VP-Vice Pedal set showed up with blown bearings. The right pedal was fine, but the left pedal clicked out of the box, and that's the first time I've seen a pair of Vice pedals do that. I see they're currently at the best price through VP Components. I'm hopeful that means they're shipped in a new box, and that if there's any issues, I know from a past experience with them, that VP Components will make it right.I'm rating this purchase 4*, because I love the pedals, I love VP components, and I'm very happy with the bang for the buck of getting all my bikes on Vice pedals, but I hate that I had to use my rebuild kit to get working bearings in left pedal. (Yeah, I know I could have returned them, but I wanted to get them on my son's new bike, and we were all excited to go riding.)

Value packed
I have these on 3 different bikes now. fairly light weight. They are extremely durable. grip a variety of shoe types. My wife even wanted me to install them on her road bike. She just completed her first Half Ironman with them. Great value for the price.

Beautiful and functional
The left pedal was not marked making the process trial and error. If they ever wear out I would purchase again. One had a slight defect and it was replaced in 2 days under warranty; I could not have asked for better service with no hassle.

Quality pedals at a great price.
Great flat pedals, large flat platform with plenty of grip pins ensures traction between pedal and shoe. The removable pins are 'rear loaded ' to make them easier to change. Narrow profile and close fit to cranks ( fitted with hex key not spanner) improve peddling performance. Can be stripped down with basic tools. Nice anodised finish. Would recommend, at this price the specification is fantastic.

Good enough pedal if bought on sale.
I was quite hard on these pedals. They've bashed innumerable rocks, been ridden in the wet, muck, sandy, loamy, freezing, sweltering heat, etc...The bearings were shot after about 800km of singletrack riding and I ripped one pin out from a rock strike. All in all that's good performance as far as I'm concerned. These are still spinning away on my spin bike and will be a good spare, I don't like being clipped in.Because of the shape of the platform these don't shed muck or snow as well as I'd like and will occasionally need to be cleaned out with a trailside twig if it's sloppy riding conditions. I wear a US size 10/10.5 shoe and the whole pedal will sit underfoot. If you're riding longer or gnarlier descents where all mountain meets enduro you'll probably want something a little more aggressive. My only real complaint is that it's extremely hard to source the rebuild kit and I haven't found another brand's rebuild kit which has the same parts, you're going to need 2 bearings & 1 bushing per pedal. These are a decent buy if you can get them on sale. If these failed beyond what could be repaired with a bearing rebuilt kit I wouldn't buy them again, but I definitely got my $60cdn out of these.

Excellent pedals
I bought these for my road bike because I choose not to use cleats. Very happy with them: well made, large platform, decent bearings, very grippy for your shoes. You will need decent soles on your shoes as the spikes are quite prominent.A minor gripe: mine arrived slightly damaged, I think because of the flimsy product wrapper (postal packaging was fine).

Great Price for proper All Mountain Flats!
I love these pedals. They are my first set of proper flat's with replaceable pins. They grip great, are nice and large for me, and seen super strong( i'm a heavy rider). I did have crash on an asphalt trail which was covered in slick leave while I took a corner and smacked the drive side pedal real good on the ground. I gouged the trail pretty good. The pedal has an obvious mark where it met the trail but I expected much worse after the crash. Pedals have been running smooth since then. At time of this review I've had them for 1.5 months and used lots, they are great!

Great looking and working pedals
Pedals installed easily and look great on my Giant Anthem Advanced.I've used them for about 6 weeks under moderate usage and I'm happy to report that they are still very grippy and have eliminated any foot slippage I used to have with my previous pedals.
