I've used these before and they are excellent. The packs come with the torx screw bit and you need them. Once they start to ware its handy to have a spare. You can just drive through the tongue edge but I prefer to pilot hole the wood first, less chance of splitting the tongue.

Like others here I used them on 21mm engineered floorboards - oak, in my case - and they were generally excellent. I knew the screw heads had a rep for self-destruction and yes they're not durable over a larger job (two in the pack). I also had to pre-drill on dense wood. I bought two packs initially, so four screw bits, then another one largely because I needed new bits. That's a bit annoying and surely solvable - it's been noted online a problem for a while, you'd have thought they'd have heard that feedback. Putting two in the pack helps but surely better to have a more durable bit???

Great product, used on walnut engineered flooring (21mm thick with 6mm walnut) straight onto joists, grip very well, doesn't split, screwed into corner of tongue & head tightens below surface allowing for groove of next board to align no problem.

Not much to be said, screws did job required very well
