Keeper - 18” Ultra Bungee Cord - UV And Weather-Resistant

I’ve had several different bungees until I found these in 2016. I use them (18”) to fasten a tarp across my patio, so they go through wind, storms, hail, 100 degree plus sunshine, below freezing temps, snow, and they have never failed. I replace the tarp once a year but it’s been 8 years for the bungees, and I’m now replacing them out of caution, not failure. I think they’d have lasted another year at least.To sum up, the best money can buy - even if the price has more than doubled in the interim.

The pic shows the ends of the bungee tucked into the hook ends. The one I got wasn't like that. I don't know if you have this problem, but I use bungees on my bicycle and find the open part of the hook on the bungees with the plastic hooks rather small and I struggle to hook them on various places on my bike. This bungee, with the metal (plastic coated) hook, looked like the opening space was larger, like the old bungees with metal hooks. With the nub end of the cord not tucked down as in the pic, it was sticking way up into the opening gap and impeded ease of hooking. Each end has a large wire cinch locking the cord end into a loop. Because of the cinch, it took a lot of work with a large channel-loc to get that nub end tucked into the hook. Now that the ends are tucked, the bungee works nicely and easily, the open part of the hook being sufficiently roomy to allow easy hooking in many situations.

I'm using this to hold back curtains that normally drop freely. The hooks allow me to pull the curtains back however I want while attaching one end to something else nearby. I've also used this to temporarily stabilize a 3-gal glass carboy in my car's trunk. The cord is thick and makes me feel confident it won't snap. The ends are secured to stable, big, thick plastic hooks that don't scratch items. And the price is unbeatable. We'll be buying more.

As with other reviewers, the bungee I received had the ends not pushed inside the hook. Decided to keep it and not return it.It is not too difficult to fix the ends - flat head screwdriver, pliers, nail setter and a hammer is all needed. I was able to push the end into the hook. Looks much better.

they are very good quality bungee cords. They have good stretch and are the perfect length for lashing our laundry baskets safely onto our bundle buggies. Also worked well holding a dinning chair together while glue set and dried on loose cross beam. If you need bungee cords, you can't go wrong with this brand/type.
