Good value, plug and play. Modernise the car!
Initial impressions after installing it on a E46 3 series:It lacks fitting instructions for the unit, but fortunately it is mostly plug and play for the main functions, not tried out the others.Screw locations are correct but having removed factory anchoring u bolts with the plastic bracket for single din factory radio, I will need to fix that later.It’s very generic unit, no big deal for me. Has OEM look when fitted, a good thing, needed to relocate heating controls, which was easy enough with youtube guides out there.Steering wheel control function works via can bus box. Very nice.Bought it to replace factory tape player as it’s now been nearly 20 years since the car was made, and would like to enjoy MP3’s in car rather than going backwards and forwards on my CD changer. Car navigation is handled by smart phone anyway, like everyone else does.Bought via Fullfilled By Amazon, rather than waiting weeks for it to maybe get to me. First good point. Price was very competitive even though it was in FBA.
