... rugs on the internet and while there are some good instructions out there
I researched how to make braided-in rag rugs on the internet and while there are some good instructions out there, I did still have a few questions and issues. The two things in the book that were the most helpful to me (so far) have been how to start the initial braid, and the way/rate to do increases. I can also see how to do the design swirls, which is something I hadn't found an exact answer to online. I even had a question and emailed the author, and she promptly responded with an answer. This book was well worth the money for me, and I wish I had bought it sooner.

Money well spent - if I could give this book another star, I would.
Excellently written, with easy-to-understand instructions and illustrations. Contains information on everything from making specific shapes and patterns to converting old T-shirts into rug strips. She also includes the information necessary to make baskets and even tote bags and hats using this method.Ms. Gray is not only a master rugmaker, but an excellent writer and teacher.

An unique (old) way to braid rugs
I appreciate that the author took the time to explain how to make "increases" at each end of the rug. And she put it all into writing in such detail with color photos so that it is understandable and totally "doable" for just about anyone who wants to learn this beautiful crafty rug making. Thank you Diana Blake Gray.
