A good replacement for my originals of fifteen years ago. A straight swap and the softening works well, early days though but all looks good.

Soft close dampers
They certainly make a difference. I replaced all of ours as they had become less efficient and in some cases stopped working altogether. The new replacements are great on the whole although 3 of them don’t close completely which is a bit frustrating.
