Pretty good book
Pretty good book. But the only information I wanted was missing. Do I have to have a stud behind the edges, where two boards come together?

Good technical information but light on practical advice and tips
I really wanted to like this book. We purchased a house last year and as various projects come up I purchase a book on the subject to either do the work myself or to gain enough knowledge to be able to communicate intelligently with the contractor. My problem with this book may be the subject matter. With so many really great videos available online for free, watching them inspires you with the confidence to tackle the job yourself. With this book , although it taught me the technical details, I would still be left daunted by the prospect of tearing down the awful drywall in my son's bedroom and hanging new sheets and taping etc ... which I have just done, and with very reasonable results.

This is how the best professional drywallers do it. Very comprehensive with plenty of tips for beginners to pros. Learn how to do it right. I’ve had an earlier edition for years. This one was for a gift.

The guide itself is great, bookstore hear did not have anything or even offer to get ordered in-store and that was Coles. Wanted this for Xmas but did not get it till after, took way to long to receive.
