Functions well.
Honestly, don’t buy this to experience it. It’s basically like having spit in your mouth. I don’t like it whatsoever, but it serves it’s function well which is to help elderly people swallow liquids. It also came quickly, opened easily, and has an easy to grab bottle. Very nice product for what it’s supposed to be.

Love this Brand
After my Dad had a stroke, this water was the only brand of water he wanted. It's premixed, which makes it so convenient to use.

Great for powdered drink mixes
My toddler son is on a dysphagia diet. I bought this product to mix with powdered drink mixes. It works nicely and the thickness is as advertised. As far as drinking this water by itself or plain, it has a slight after taste. My child will not drink it by itself due to the after taste, but an adult can surely get used to it.

Beware of the smell! It does thicken though!
The odor is not acceptable to me! Sorry for this remark but it is the truth! I tried to cover it with water flavored products but could not find the right combination. I will leave on shelf for backup to my other choice which is DysphagiAide! Again, I wanted Thick It to work, for its pricing is awesome but I cannot recommend this product.Maybe the founder will see other reviews and improve the odor portion of this thickener! Be careful with your choices!

Top of bottle was smashed
This is the second time the top of a bottle came damaged. The first time I couldn’t even get the bottle opened. My brother was able to get it opened for me this time. There was no visible damage to the box, so it was shipped like that?
