New 2015 Tuirel T100 Laser Measure, 330-Feet

Very thorough reviews have already been posted. In my opinion, they are accurate, and fair. This device does work as described, and it takes only a few minutes of practicing to begin using it for quick, reasonably accurate measurements. The square footage calculations are very fast and easy. I have not tested it for outdoors measurements as yet, but I already have the red lens glasses that should be helpful for daytime measuring. The case is well-made and very handy.

This is the second unit that I have received after I returned the first one for inaccuracy and this one is even worse.. I have no idea whether those that gave this a glowing review actually measured with a tape measure alongside of this unit but I have and it would be useless as a ruler replacement as it is off on all the distances I have measured from 6" to 25'. The accuracy is said to be +/- 2mm and once again I have not seen anything close.6" registered 10"2' registered 2'51/4"3' registered 3' 5"5' registered 5'41/2"12' registered 12' 41/4"25' registered on the first unit 25" 51/2"I cannot imagine trying to build a house using this thing (Unless I got 2 bad units in a row BUT I am not trying a third time).If in the future I try a 3rd unit and it performs as specs than I will modify review.

this is the second digital laser I bought, the first one is 230 ft range, then I bought a longer range one. It is a simple to learn and use laser measurer. I have thought I need to buy batteries for it but it actually comes with two AAA batteries, so you can use it immediately. It also comes with Nylon Carry Case too, which make it easy fr you to protect the item. I really like it and highly recommend this product.

Why nobody ever mentioned that this unit do need a calibration done carefully before you can use it and trust the measurements– You might be just lucky to get the unit that was calibrated in the manufacturing facility, but the one I got was not. I was going to return the unit because it was way to off – but just before I put the return labels on the box and ship it back to Amazon - I’ve realized I read something about unit adjustment setting in the user manual – so I decided to give it as try – You can adjust the measurements base +/- 7 mm, In my case it was -6mm, And you need to have several reference point to pick the right number – so I measure from 200 mm to 1400 mm to see if this -6mm adjustment gives me accurate reading. I am upset that manufacturer is not mentioning this as a must to do step before you will start using the device. After the calibration it does provide the accurate measurements – that’s why I am giving it a three stars.I didn’t measure the long distances – so I cannot commentTuirel FT330 and Foneso F100 are exact the same units being sold under two different brands and it’s very confusing. BTW both vendors web sites are just terrible – don’t even list their own products – shows one model only. Pictures are missing – no pdf for user manual – no company history – I can keep going…What I was able to find is Tuirel is actually making them and selling under his name but also OEM it to Foneso as well and Foneso sells them as well for different price. Both of the vendors selling on Amazon and prices are different – whatever…. Just be aware.Back to the unit review – it’s not a very complicated device – so the User manual is very basic -but it doesn’t explain all user setting and two of the user setting are not ever documented at all – so you can guess what they are – try to change them and see what will happen.It also seems to have a problems measuring against semi- reflective surfaces - like granite countertop for instance – I cannot get an accurate measurement while pointed to my granite countertop. Provided in the box white reflective pad didn’t work on the short distances - when I put it on the granite countertop wall to cover the surfaces the unit gave my even the less accurate reading than pointed to the granite wall directly – so I got over it just by using white piece of paper to cover the wall.It also gave me the error code not documented in the manual – and turning the unit off completely didn’t clear the error – so you have to point the unit to somewhere else – so it will measure different point and then clear the previous error recorded.The two build-in level are so small and not highlighted while the main screen is highlighted – so I can’t practically see them while operating the unit – unless you point a flash light to the levels or have very bright lights in the room.

Work as advertised no problem very simple and accurate. Very Good Tool.
