You will learn the history of this way of praying the scriptures and how it has been passed down and discussed over many centuries.You will learn what the various movements are along the path of Lectio Divina and how you can get the best out of them. At the end of the book are a chapter of scripture verses you can use to practice with.Eventually you will want to read the whole bible using Lectio Divina, and probably other books like devotionals will come alive.I have read a number of books on this subject and this one is a definite worthwhile read

This book is a great description of the ancient discipline of lectio divina. In lectio divina we read a a Bible passage slowly, putting ourselves into the passage and then pray it back to the Lord.It is easy to read and gives some practical exercises.

This was one of the most beautiful books I have read. It explains prayer so it is easy to understand and easy go practice. I would recommend this for anyone struggling to pray or to even understand the bible.
