Q: Will this work for a 5 step porch?

I use it to load my wife's scooter from the ground to the RAV4 which is 2-1/2 ft off the ground. I believe you could go up to 3 ft off the ground with no problem.

Q: Can you use this ramp on 4-5 steps

I am not sure what you mean by 4-5 steps. I use it to load our mowers on to small utility trailers that are about 15 to 20 inches off the ground and they work great for that.

Q: Are there safety chains or a place to attach them? For safely tethering to a cargo van before unloading. Higher height than minivan.

Nothing attached. One or two small holes up at the top about the size of nail head that you might be able to rig something up. Probably not what you’re looking for in terms of that. We use this to bring wood onto our deck and have used it moving as well. We’ve been really happy with it.

We used it on back of Ford pick up Truck , sapareted as a 2 pieces load up motorazed wheel chair. worked good. very light
