I find injured deer, orphaned squirrels, injured songbirds and we have had foxes in need of ivermectin to treat mange. I was looking for a book that can give me basic advice on how to care for orphaned baby squirrels (how/what to feed, keep warm, ensure they have hydration using the right dropper so they don't inhale the liquid, etc.) for 1-2 days before I can get them to help. Same with opossum babies, injured songbirds, and foxes who hang around but need ivermectin placed in food to save them (animal control will not do it, they refer us to rehabilitators who then tell us how to set out food for a number of days with a certain dose of ivermectin in it...it would be nice to have that in print in a book I keep on hand).Anyway, this has very complicated directions for dosing and meds I have never heard of (I do not work in the field of medicine), equipment I do not have access to and descriptions that make my head spin.
