Is this an instant drinking chocolate, or do I have to prepare it on the stovetop?

You can prepare it either in microwave or on stovetop.

I followed directions and tried both 1% and whole milk, but it doesn’t thicken. What could I be doing wrong?

I used full fat milk and adjusted the amount of PaIadin I used. I kept adding slowly until I get the desired thickness.
