Tuff Support2 Pieces (Set) Hood Lift Supports Replacement Fits 2015-2017 Hyundai Sonata

I was concerned whether these would work for my 2015 Sonata Limited because the dealer sells hood struts for $233.00 a pair. Hyundai sells them with 2 different parts numbers labeling them "left" and "right" side. These Amazon struts were not labeled or identified as left or right side. They do not work as well as factory hood struts but I installed them and they work fine. The factory struts seemed to open and close slower but again these work fine and cost nothing compared to the ridiculous dealer prices of $233.00. Even the Hyundai dealer parts guy couldn't believe their price.

Installed these lift supports on my 2017 Sonata. That they would need replacing in 2020 speaks for the lack of quality of the OEM, This product works ideal to my needs. I simply assist and the lifts do the rest, both for the open and closing of my hood. Outstanding tension and hold. Very cheap for the quality and workmanship.

Literally put these in in about 2 minutes using a flathead screwdriver and my head to prop the hood up with.Perfect fit. The Hyundai ones I removed were marked left and right and I have no clue why since they easily fit each side.The Hyundai stock ones always needed an assist to open the hood.These replacements will hold the hood open at about 4 inches up and at about 6 inches they lift the hood up all by themselves. It is a nice controlled opening as well so I would guess the pistons have dampening holes built in.Well worth the money.

As close as you can get with OEM quality. Great quality, same fitment as original, and operates fantastically. Easy to install for myself, some might have difficulty, but installation has nothing to do with this product. Would recommend for anyone who wants to save money or doesn't mind after market products.

It took less than 5 minutes, including reading the back of the package for the entire install. The old ones pop out once you remove the clip, and the new ones just pop in. So now the hood won't fall on my head when I open it!

After seeing the exorbitant price for OEM, I tried a pair from Advance Auto Parts. They were a couple of inches too short. Advance gave me a full refund. After reading a few reviews that these had worked perfectly on other Sonata owners vehicles, I decided to order a pair. I just installed them. It took 10 minutes to install. They work perfectly! Very happy!

The Replacement struts was the way to go, over the OEM struts , saved me $200.00 over the OEM Price of $233.00.

Fit my vehicle perfectly. Installation is literally under a minute per strut. The old struts are removed with a screw driver and the new ones just pop in. Great value considering the Hyundai dealership was charging just over $200 for the pair.
