DK Top 10 Santa Fe (Pocket Travel Guide) Paperback – Folded Map, August 20, 2012

I have come to rely on Eyewitness guides every time I go on a trip. They are colorful, keep your attention, and very often mention special, little-known places of interest that would be worth a stop. Helps very much with planning, looking forward to my trip.

I bought this book for a quick 3 day trip to Santa Fe and it was interesting and informative. I got a chance to do so many things that I would have never known about if not for this excellent book. Very readable and small enough for your backpack. Map included!!

This book was perfect for my needs. It was compact, had a good map and gave me the information I needed for my vacation to Northern New Mexico. It helped me plan out my days without overwhelming me with data. The only thing I wouldn't rely on are the restaurant recommendations. They were ok but I did research online for the top restaurants.

Just the right size to travel with. Going this Fall and will fix in my bag to help get around the towns. A lot of good information which will be helpful. First time traveling to New Mexico.

The information given is useful as is the fold out map. It conveniently fits in a jacket pocket but that is the rub. To fit in such a small space the printing is at times minuscule and I am an older person with good eyesight in general but needed a magnifying glass to read some print on the map and book. My traveling companion who is younger had the same problem so we began reading in our room, noting spots on the paper map from the hotel and putting Post-It arrows we numbered to fit our notes on the fold-out map.It is an item I would try to view before buy-in if I wanted such a guide again. With the abundance of online information on restaurants and shops, it might be re-written without that information in a more readable font.

Especially helpful for a quick description, historical information and hints to optimize one's experience. Especially for folks with limited time available, the Top Ten guide has the "ten best" in multiple categories - from museums & galleries to walks to historical sites, to day trips to insider tips. A good book to carry with you as your tour.

I love the Eyewitness Travel guides! This book is the same quality as others I have purchased. Great recommendations, maps and details of hours, costs and discounts!

For a newcomer to Santa Fe, this book is invaluable. Besides its handy pocket size, the contents are extremely helpful and thoroughly cover the area. It helped me plan a wonderful visit to Santa Fe.
