It works. The instructions are not clear
I have installed Wheels spindle shims on a few bikes. They work and have been durable. The instructions could be better.

Perfect fit and cheap alternative
Got this to install a Shimano crankset on a Cervelo R series frame and it fits perfectly, so far no play and sound.
