Stihl 2 IN 1 EASY FILE CHAINSAW CHAIN SHARPENER .325"

I'm not generally the type to come running to Amazon to leave reviews. Generally, I leave reviews if things are very good or very bad. I bought this thing last fall, and promptly forgot it existed. At the time of purchase, I thought it was a little pricy, but I gambled on the good reviews. I tried it tonight for the first time, and I think I can say confidently that after the 10 minute ordeal of sharpening, I ended up with a chain that is easily sharper than a new chain, and was producing long, even shavings instead of short chips. Control of the saw was dramatically improved, and it was sharp enough for delicate maneuvers, or trimming tiny amounts of material. I definitely would recommend this. The return on investment will be realized pretty quickly, when you stop paying someone else to sharpening your chains.

I was really happy at how well this thing sharpened my chain.

Works great! Cuts the down time in half!!

This worked amazing. Been cutting wood since I was 12 and I can tell you I’ve never had an electric sharpener even come close to how well this does. They say you can’t beat how a brand new chain cuts, but I think this does a better job than even a new chain.

I personally don't read 5 star reviews. This thing is great. The blade ends up surprisingly sharp and good as new. Easiest to clamp the blade in a vice but could be used in the field. Impressive and quick for a manual tool. I prefer power everything but the reviews are true, this thing is impressive.

Trivial to use and takes only minutes to touch up my MS250. I also have the one for the Dewalt 12” battery saw which is what convinced me to get this one.

Certainly an improvement over my basic file tool. Design allows for much better ability to maintain sharpening angle. Not sure how effective it is in knocking down the depth gauge between the cutting blades. While its a little pricey for what it is I'll get another when this one gives it up or I lose it.

Quality product very happy with the function, would purchase again.

Have used single files for many years which did a good job but this Stihl 2 in 1 is without better, more accurate and manages depth gauge all at the same time and is quicker too. The chain cuts just that bit better too so have bought two of these files in different sizes for my two chainsaws. Yes they cost a lot compared to a single file but they will last for ages.
