I always am looking for a fine comb for the dogs. This has a variety. And they are easy to clean, just pop them in the sliverware tray of the dish washer.

It's effective and very useful

I have 3 cats and a dog and have been using various flea combs for the past 30+ years. I already had a flea comb but thought it would be handy to have another around the house. At first I bought the Hartz flea comb because it's a familiar brand but it ended up being terrible - it had a thick, black, rubbery handle that was sticky and attracted every speck of dust or animal hair and was impossible to clean. Returned the Hartz and then found this combo pack by MoHern. Was hesitant since I had never heard of the brand but based on reviews, took a chance and I can't believe it but I'm BLOWN AWAY with how good these flea combs are! I've pretty much stopped using my old flea comb entirely and only use the MoHern ones now. I can go over my cat with the old flea comb and find nothing then use any one of the MoHern combs and find multiple fleas. It's mind-boggling. The 3 metal flea combs are my favorite but I was pleasantly surprised with the plastic combs. I assumed the plastic combs would be junk but they are actually really great for catching the super small fleas that you normally never see because they are too little to be caught by metal tines.#TLDR: Stop researching flea combs and buy this combo pack now. You won't regret it.

These combs grab and hold fleas and dirt and flakey skin from my short haired dog. I have to take it a little slower with my long haired cat being careful to not snag a tangle but they work great on both pets. I place a mixing bowl with soapy water next to me and pull the comb through their fur then drop the comb in the water to clean it and keep the fleas from getting away. Having so many combs in the set lets me use each comb, drop it in the water then clean them all at once and begin again. I also use them when I bath my dog, while he's still in the sink, to remove the dead and dying fleas before I rinse and dry him.
