Hell or High Water
This was a great series starter book. The books are stand-alone books but the characters are linked. This book starts the series and not only has mystery, and romance but also has action and adventure. I look forward to reading the rest of the books in the series.

A GUILTY PLEASURE READ I ENJOYED
“I will go crazy if I don’t do this.” He lowered his lips to hers, bracing himself for the worst. Expecting her to shove him away. Expecting her to remind him he was in her employ. Expecting her to stand rigid as a post. His spirit soared when soft, lush lips opened slightly. Welcomed him. He angled his mouth for better coverage and swept his tongue inside heaven. This was supposed to be just a quick kiss, a taste of her sweetness. A honey-forgive-me touch of the tongues. Desire exploded, rocketing through every inch of his body. Nate turned ravenous . His hands roamed and smoothed, needing to experience every inch of her body. The gentle slope of her back, the slant of her waist as it nipped in at the hip. Not one inch of her had escaped his memory. She moaned, sending shock waves of need through him. She swayed in his arms, slid her hands around his neck, and pulled him closer until her breasts pressed against his chest. Somewhere deep within the darkness of his soul a light shone.I'll go ahead and admit, this was a total guilty pleasure read. This story line could have been ripped from Days of Our Lives, no kidding. But for a girl like me that was raised with Bo and Hope and has a "damsel in distress" and "amnesia/back from the dead" GOODREADS shelf, this book worked.Kay turns into a damsel in distress after a human trafficking ring believing she is a threat to their operation sets out to harm her. Nate, Kay's old college boyfriend and ex-Navy seal comes to the rescue and insists on protecting her, along with a few of their hunky mutal friends (all ex-military, of course). Sparks fly when these two get reacquainted but past hurts are hard to set aside and make looking at any kind of future together difficult, regardless of chemistry. The book was well written, had a nice steam factor, and flowed well. An over the top amnesia story line involving a secondary character was an added surprise and bonus! While I probably wouldn't have paid to read this one, I did enjoy reading it and would probably read the next book in the series now that I've gotten started. I actually am(guiltily)looking forward to seeing if Johnny/Jake gets his own book with Holly and if he does, I'm in! 3.25 STARS JUST FOR THE DRAMA

Kidnappings and Old Flames. This book will have you at the edge of your seat.
I really enjoyed the first book in the Lost and Found Inc. Series. Ms. Alexander had well developed characters with depth and a twinge of mystery.Lost and Found Inc. was founded by some ex-Navy Seals as a detective agency and business of problem solving. Nate Wolfe was one of co-founders and has a history with Kaycie Taylor, the two featured characters in the first book.As the series begins we find Kay Taylor, who is a Dallas Child Protection Services Investigator, but wakes up and is tied and bound in a dark room. She does not what was going on. As she begins to piece her last memories, she realizes that someone attacked her from behind but she did not know who or why. While she was in pain her biggest fear was that her blouse was torn and her shoes were gone.Kay manages to get free and run and yell for help, but she passed out. As soon as she woke up 2 Dallas Police Detectives begin to question Kay. But, her freedom was short lived because she was captured again the next day. Kay insisted that she do some investigation, she took her best friend Holly with her. Kay went inside a building to say hello to her father, when she returned Holly was nowhere to be found. Then suddenly someone grabbed her and just as her kidnappers were putting her in the van, a mysterious motor cycle driver barreled toward them. Her rescuer told her to “run”. She got away and the police came, but she could not find the mysterious motorcycle hero and Holly was gone. The mysterious hero was watching the police and Kay run through the ordeal. Her hero was an ex-Seal Nate Wolfe. Nate and Kay were together 10 years ago when she was a 22 year old criminal justice student. Kay had made her opinion of him and his choices clear when they parted company. Kay does not know that Nate has been assigned to be her body guard. When Kay is taken and sold to a monster, the devil himself couldn't stop Nate from doing whatever it takes to find her...but will he be in time? The story is has several twists and turns and keeps you on the edge of your seat. I stayed up until I finished, yes it is that good. Of course, we all read romance books for the romance. There is some sizzling hot passion that can get your blood pressure up. You will not regret reading this wonderful story of Kay and Nate.

College love revived!
This book started well. Within the opening lines we meet Kay Taylor, a child protection services investigator, distraught but determined having been attacked and kidnapped. On her escape her friends rally round and she's put under protection believing her abductors have a connection to one of her cases.Nate Wolfe is not only an ex Seal, turned private investigator, but her ex college love. He's bought in to protect her but the lost trust between them is a major factor.Besides the two main characters reconnecting, (as if 10yrs had'nt passed), the storyline based around human trafficking, the sex trade, rape, violence and murder.Although the storyline was good and the characters ok, (if not a little frustrating at times), the authors style of writing felt stilted and flat. I felt no sizzle or sparks or any real emotional connection with the characters ,even during the sex scenes.Plenty of action but the 'twists and turns' were glaringly obvious from early on. Nevertheless, an ok read and found it free.

Awesome book. LOVED IT!
Great plot, totally held your attention. A well rounded story.Strong believable characters who you could empathize with. The alpha male lead is so cool and hot,(contradictory, but you know what I mean), and the heroine is sassy, determined with a heart full of love for our hero. Both deserve to be together and happy. The other minor characters are well written with depth and insight. The comrade who fell and has become flawed and lost is still important and given their support to the end. Hope in the series we find out he gets a happy ending and Holly too....please.The evil in the story is pure evil and the story emphasizes mans inhumanity to man, though loyalty and the importance of family is not forgotten, though its put to the test at times.Cannot wait to read the next book...Highly recommend to you!

A hard hitting plot with lots of action
First time reading a book by this author but it won’t be the last. A really enjoyable read full of twists and turns and red herrings and it deals with the dark subject of human trafficking. In amongst all the action is the rekindling of a love story and not to mention 🔥sex. The other characters in the book are all really likeable and I can’t wait to read their stories.

He'll or high water
Excellent read, I am enough of a romantic to believe men like this exist. Jerrie Alexander has a way of bringing together strong minded women and unassuming hero type men. I look forward to following the lost and found Inc series. To say these books grabbed me and kept me reading till I had finished is an understatement, all tempered with the perfect amount of emotion and love making to help the story along.Enjoy, lose yourself in this book, you won't be disappointed, well done Jerrie, keep writing.

Okay read
The story is good, it's about a child protection agent and a lot of young girls are disappearing. Kay is kidnapped and then Nate comes along. He is someone she loved years before and he is an ex Seal.
