Great food for cichlids. Only fish food that I buy.

This food helps achieve great and lasting color in cichlids and other fish. There’s much less waste produced by the fish which keeps nitrate levels down so there’s no reason not to use this food.

Have used both however this is a superior product. NLS leads to a messy tank and a canister filter, in cleaning that looks like you have a mud substrate.Dainichi gives consistent colors, active robust tropheus. NLS gives coloration but the consistency varies with batches and oh my what a messy tank.I'm unto Dainichi and off the NLS bandwagon. Cheap it is and probably good for fish farmers or breeders but not necessarily for hobbyists with a show tank.

Go with 50% Color FX and 50% Veggie FX and you can't go wrong. The colors are simply spectacular and the behavior active. No bloat at all.

For what it's worth My cichlids filter a lot of debris from this food out of their gills while eating it. It makes a lot of floating particulates in My usually pristine water. Fairly new to the product and will see how the color and health claims go.
