MagTek 21040104 Dual Track USB HID Magnetic Stripe Reader with 6' Cable, 60 in/s Swipe Speed, 5V, Black

Bought a couple of these. No problems. You may need to hunt down the drivers and figure out how to switch between HID and KB emulation. They seem to come default to HID mode, which I use now, but previously used keyboard emulation. Magtek website has the tools. They may be listed as "demos" but they are what you need.

I bought 2 of these 3 weeks ago, an sent to my customer and they didn't work. They shipped them back and I tried them same thing windows will install but they will not read anything no lights. So I bought 2 more thinking they were just DOA nope all 4 are doing same thing! Not sure whats going on as i get these all the time.

I can't get it to work with QuickBooks. It is recognized but no matter what I do, the CC is not read. I "guess" it could be a QB problem, but google tells me otherwise.

Doesn't work at all with my pc at all . I had bought mag tek before, so could be this is a wrong item.
