Great for moving fish while changing the tank
It’s sturdy and good sized. I’ve used it to hold nano fish while changing the substrate in a tank. Just added a bubbler and tiny heater - a few floating plants and the fish were fine for an hour or so. Good “emergency” holding tank.

Very useful for viewing and acclimation
I've had a couple of these for about a year now and they work great. I use these when acclimating new fish because it's able to hang there (inside the aquarium) while temps even out and also gives the opportunity to inspect the fish much easier if you're trying to identify any potential issues such as fin rot or ich which are two fairly common issues when purchasing fish from many big box stores. These are sturdy but not indestructible they are made of a rigid plastic and not all that thick so keep that in mind. They can and possibly will crack if dropped on a hard surface like a cement garage floor or living room tile floor but as long as you take care of them and don't go hurling them at your spouse that says you love your fish more than you love them they should last you a good while.

Just like the ones they use in stores
I worked in the fish department of a pet store for many years, and used these exact containers every day. These are good for hanging on the side of a fish tank while netting out fish. The clarity of the container also allows you to view the fish up close in a way you may not be able to do while it is in a large aquarium. If you need to catch certain species of fish which tend to get stuck in a net (some catfish) or can’t be safely removed from water (puffers) the square design and clarity of this container make it relatively easy to coax a fish into it. The benefits of this container are the box shape and the clear view it offers. I really like these containers for certain applications.Having said all that- it is basically just a square plastic cup, and incredibly over-priced for what it is. For moving fish around to different tanks or bagging them up, you could just as easily use a large deli cup, and you can get about 25 of those for the price of this- you just won’t be able to see the contents as clearly. Also, if you drop this on a hard surface, it WILL crack or break, whereas a deli cup will likely just bounce. Also, you will want to be somewhat careful with how you handle this container because, like all acrylic, it can be scratched and may become hazy over time, which defeats half its purpose. Being careful not to let it get scratched, and drying it after each use with a soft cloth or cloth-like paper towel, will help it maintain its clarity longer.

great
these are amazing, i use them for counting shrimp before i sell them, picking out annoying snails, trimming my plants, taking out duckweed or just getting a closer look at something in my tank. it's one of those things you never knew you needed tell you have one. then you can't live without it

Large, but so handy
This specimen container is a bit big for my nano fish, but really comes in handy as I can acclimate fish from QT without having to fiddle with bags and it's big enough to get a net in. I like that I can just hang it on the tank. The acrylic got a bit scuffed up in storage, but I keep it in an over filled bucket that is constantly being knocked over - so honestly it's pretty sturdy if I haven't broken it yet.

Exactly what I needed!
Any fish room should have at least one of these. Perfect for acclimation, inspection, or just tank transfer. Small size is handy for little tasks, large size is better for more fish or a longer acclimation. Hang off the tank or hanging inside of a bucket to prevent a messy unsupervised acclimation.

Great handy tool
Works like you would expect it to. Hangs on to tank. Great for moving fish between tanks. Especially open top rimless tanks. No longer need to put a container on the floor. Also great for putting aquascaping tools in while working on a tank.

Great size.
Nice size and can use it many ways. I use it to hold tools quite often when I don’t need it for my fish.

works well. hangs inside or outside tank. I love it for acclimating the fish after they come out of quarantine. I'm sure it will last years.
