Coolest things EVER!
So fun!!! This is the third time I have ordered beans from Amazing Beans, so obviously I have been happy with them. They crack EVERYBODY up! This is so much better than showing somebody something on your phone or tablet. My order arrived very quickly, was packaged well, and the beans were insulated well from the cold. I intend to slip some of the cute little boxes into my grandkids' stockings. They will love them. One other thing..... I emailed Andrew at Amazing Beans with a question and he replied within the hour. THEN he actually called me to follow up on his email. VERY pleasant man! Support his small American business by checking out these hilarious beans. Great little inexpensive items to give the young kids to share with THEIR friends. Their friends will be grateful and schools love the lesson of the beans hatching into moths. They really will with a little time and some TLC. AMAZING!!!!

Not only for kids!
These are just not for kids! Some how my 87 year old mom and I got to talking about Mexican jumping beans. In Montana it's not an item that is seen frequently. I checked Amazon a several months ago and nothing was available. I did another search months later and found these. For 20.00 I had 6 tiny clear plastic boxes with 28 beans in total. It included a brief explanation about what they are, how to take care of them and a little game you can play. My mom watched them for hours. They are all our new popping pets that are easy to care for.

Amazing how active they can be
4/6/2022 Original review: I remember seeing these at a local mall when I was a kid. It always intrigued me that they were so often moving around. These arrived to us in the mail, and as described in the included instructions, they were pretty quiet until they got warmed up a little. 5/5/2022 10:30am - Mexican Jumping beans go dormant when it’s cool. Pretty much all of ours seem to have stopped moving after a week or two. Our house isn’t all that warm, so they moved gently, and at night they settled down as the house cooled. But they have pretty much stopped altogether after about 1 month. As I type this, I have moved them to a warmer spot near the computer, hoping that they have just been dormant. I will report back as to whether they activate again as they warm. The instructions say that you can put them into a dormant state by putting them in the butter compartment of the fridge (not the freezer!) but we have not done that at all. But even cooling down below 70°F seems to be enough to make them go dormant. For the record, our house is almost always between 68°F and 73°F. The area that I have them basking in now is between 88°-91°F, which I’m sure is quite a bit cooler than the Sonoran desert where they came from. If they all get active I will move them. More later. Update 5/9/2022: Ok, well, they didn’t move much. I don’t know if they didn’t get warm enough, although I would think that high 80s would have been warm enough. The computer that I set them on wasn’t warm all that long, so I suspect that they may have cooled down enough to go to sleep again. I will try again soon when this computer is working harder and warming up.

Reminded me of my childhood
I remember getting these as a child in the 80s and I thought they were the coolest thing. I obviously didn’t know what they were or how they worked until later. Don’t read too much into it or you may not think they are as cool. Lol I bought these for my niece and nephew. I think the quality could’ve been better. I did store them in the refrigerator as suggested but they did not seem to last very long.

Very alive and hoppy! :) exceptional gift
These little guys started hopping within a minute outta the package! Even comes with a game sheet and complete info on how to care for them. I loved getting them as a young girl, but never had the full life story of how they got into the “pods”. Must have for Xmas gift/stocking for any age past 4. I’m 64 and lovem still. All 30 are jumping like crazy 🤪

Awesome 😎
Amazing if you’re looking for something fun to do with your kiddos, this is definitely it. It’s a small business which we all love supporting even more than those big corps!! Don’t hesitate. It’s definitely a value for your money. Not to mention you get a lot for what you’re paying I remember getting these things at south of the border on my trips to Florida with my family growing up so I had to spread the joy to my children.

The Beans Were Not Alive
Unfortunately, all the beans had no signs of life. I followed all the instructions. I placed all the containers on a heating pad, under a radiator, I tried soaking them. I've waited several for weeks for any signs of life. Absolutely NO movement. I'm very disappointed as they were a big part of a gift basket I made for my grandchildren.
