Heavy duty, well-built casters were easy to install and work great!
Right out out of the box I was impressed by the weight and build quality of these casters. I wanted to install them on the two legs of my Weber BBQ (that weighs 160 lbs.) to make easier to move around. Yes, the instructions tell you to mount them 1.4" (one point 4 inches) from the ground. For me that translated to 1-13/32" so that's what I used. I mounted one to a scrap 2x4 to make sure it would give me 3/4" lift when mounted according to the instructions. I opted to use the mounting bracket that allows for quick removal of the casters when not in use. Although I will leave them on most of the time, I will likely take them off and keep them in the garage when it rains in the winter. Overall, I am very happy with these casters. I just flip them down and they lift the BBQ up high enough to make it a breeze to roll around the concrete patio.

Exactly what I needed to move a loaded pallet around
I needed to add some removable wheels to a crate that is mounted to a palet. These worked out great. When I need to move them around the garage, I simply slide in the wheels into the brackets that I leave installed on the pallet. Then, when FedEx comes to pick up the crate/pallet, I remove them and they use their pallet jack from there. Work well as long as I stay on a flat, level surface. (Flat and level is the key) Everything to mount them was included in the box. Very stable and well made.

Great product, bad screws
They are very sturdy. I have a 600 pound workbench that I installed them on. They work well and pivot easily. Since this type of caster sticks out from the bench and can get in the way, the removable feature is awesome and is easy to use. My sole complaint is the screws. The wood screws do not work with the removal plate as the heads block the caster portion from sliding in and the alternate fasteners that fit this plate are only made for fastening to a flat plate of some type. Anyway I generally don't use the supplied screws as they are soft and strip easily. I use construction screws that don't strip.

These are great!
Exactly what I wanted. I put them on a workbench I may want to move once a year. I don't want it on wheels all the time, I just want to be able to move it easily every once in a while. So the plates are easy to install. Use a 2x4 as a spacer. Set the 2x4 on its side, set the plate on top, screw into the wood. Very fast and easy and all the plates are at exactly the same height. I was putting it on a bench with 4x4 wood legs, so I tossed the included screws and used 3" deck screws. Worked great. The images have a very good idea. I bought some small round magnets, drilled out little pockets for them on the inside of the bench legs, and glued the magnets in. Now I have magnetic holders for the wheels and L-pins so I don't lose them. 10/10, just great. Much better than having the bench on wheels all the time. I've only had them a week but the quality seems fine. Roll very easily. I'll update if there are any issues.

No more tripping of caster
These casters work very well on my workbench. They roll smoothly. I really like the fact you can take them off. I keep stumbling around the corners of the casters and these solve that issue.

The wheels roll, but they fall under everything if you actually pick up the thing you are rolling
UPDATE: so when I pick up one side to move my desk through the sliding glass door, the wheels just fall under the feet of the desk. My plan is to fabricate 4 pieces of metal to bolt through the same holes as the bolt that holds everything together. The goal is to create a stop so that the wheel does not fall under the foot of my desk. I will update with a photo when I complete this part of the project. (My goal with all of this is to give the manufacturer ideas on product improvement, because I genuinely like the idea, I just want something better. While these were reasonably priced, Installation is not always easy. I bought angle steel at the local home depot, and some 1/4" bolts and nuts. I put 3 bolts in all but the one in the front of this shot (oversight to be corrected) Everything has a drop of red Loctite on it so I don't have to revisit any of this. If not screwing these into wood, use the machine screws that come with that have the counter sink head on them. 2 of these hold the bracket with the pin that makes for easy removal. The 1/4" bolts with the countersunk screw head stuck out too far and made it impossible to slide the wheels in. while this might not be a terrible solution for some, I DO want to take them off at some point. Regarding the wheels themselves. Everything kind of flops around, and while a better design would involve some type of spring system where the wheels don't flop under everything when picking up the desk and putting it down, that will require a design upgrade.. Positives. The angle steel I bought is really heavy. I don't believe it is going anywhere. The bottom counter sunk screw for the bracket is bolted onto the leg, the second on the angle. everything is really tight, and I am excited to use the new wheels, roll the desk out onto my deck, and work OUTSIDE when I work from home! I shared a picture (before I cut off the long screw and paint the angle semi-matte black) so you can sort of see what I did. One screw that is not visible went into the bottom part of the leg. The bracket hangs below that leg but not quite touching the floor when the wheels are up or off.

They worked for me without any issues. They could work for you too..
The SPACECARE Workbench Caster Kit 600lLbs with 2 mounting options are a decent quality for a decent price for my use. Before you buy any product like this, take a few minutes to understand what you need and plan accordingly. How heavy is that workbench or device? With 4 wheels rated at 600Lbs, you done want a direct load over any one wheel to be more the 200 lbs. How often do you plan on moving your bench or device.? Do you really need removeable wheels? Plan on obtaining good bolts or screws that meet you needs, the hardware that is shipped with less expensive casters are likely pretty cheap. My requirements were being able to occasionally move two medium sized woodworking benches that are tied together back to back. The design of these removable casters was perfect for my need. I used my own mounting hardware. It took 30 minutes elapsed time to plan, mount, and check the casters. I had zero issues. I read through the remarks from others and agree that when you want to raise your bench or device, set the castor wheel toward the device so the load is on top of the wheel, not on the side. These casters work for my needs. They should hold up well since I will use them 3 or 4 times a year at most to move the benches on a concrete surface 20 or 30 feet.. My benches weigh approximately 300 pounds each, we are way under the rating for the casters. If your needs are like mine, you should have a good purchase experience. For mounting on wood have on hand a ruler, hammer, punch, drill, bits, screwdriver, 17MM nut driver or deep socket, and a pair of slip joint pliers to do the installation. Find the center of the holes and use the punch and hammer to set the spot before you drill the mounting holes I would recommend these for applications like mine. For larger, heavier needs, or for loads that need to move frequently, look for the heavier options.

Great product
Well made. Simple mechanism. My workbench now sits solidly on the ground when in use but is easy to roll away when I am done. I have tried other caster systems with wheel locks but the bench remains too “wiggly” when in use. I mounted the brackets to the inside of the 2x4 legs so they are not a tripping hazard. Love the ease of bracket install and subsequent caster installation. Downsides: 1. No way to micro adjust leg height if floor not level. This can be solved with addition of leveling feet to the bottom of the legs. 2. Instructions are minimal. Calls for “1.4 inch” spacing from floor (why not 1 3/8 inches?). Comes with pan head screws for use without the brackets or thru and thru bolts for use with the brackets. They are NOT interchangeable but this is not spelled out in the instructions. Overall a very clever system that provides a safer, more solid workbench. Would have given it a “5” if not for the weak instructions.
