Mashed small potato masher, 304 Stainless Steel Bean and Potato Masher

I bought this gadget to quickly mash up hard boiled eggs to make egg salad sandwiches. I was pleasantly surprised about how quickly this masher minced up my hard-boiled eggs into tiny squares. It is much easier than mashing with a fork. I used a table knife to scrape off the egg, if needed. It cleaned very easily.It is my new favorite, simple kitchen gadget. This was a great purchase.

Makes mashing up avocados super easy. Small enough to fit into a small bowl too. Big handle to hang on to also.

I first tried another mini masher which was not very mini and had a cumbersome plastic blade arrangement that held on to a lot of precious avocado and required tedious removal of what remained between the blades. It was such a pain to use I went back to a fork as a masher. Then I tried this one and VOILA! PERFECTION!!! It's truly mini and almost nothing sticks in it, just a quick finger swipe to each side and all is in the bowl where it belongs. And it can be a small bowl too, no need to get out a larger than desirable bowl to mash an avocado with this gem of a kitchen utensil .

I kept bending forks by squishing avocados for guacamole. . . Problem solved!

I haven't used this masher yet. I washed it on the top rack of my dishwasher and it looks new just like it did before I washed it. The metal has not stained or discolored. The handle is made of rubberized plastic, which is why I put it in the top rack. After washing, it still looks new and the color hasn't faded. The metal masher is attached very well into the handle. It did not move when I tested it for strength. I can't see mashing dozens of potatoes at one time, because of it's size, but I only occasionally mash anything more than 2 or 3 vegetables at a time. I also like the color. I took away one star because there are no markings on this item. No manufacturer mark and no mark that says what it's made of. The seller's description says stainless steel, but it isn't printed on the masher. It is heavy enough to hold up to most light mashing jobs, and light enough to stay within reach on a magnetic knife rack. One side is flat so it should stay put. I'm satisfied with what I received for the price. It's a better quality than I was expecting. I'd recommend this masher for a single user, or a couple. You may want a larger size for a family who would use it daily. It arrived in a plastic bag in a box along with some other items I bought on Amazon.

Perfect for portions for one or two. Any food you've ever mashed can be made for one or two using this small masher. Made of 14ga stainless, smooth finish, no sharp edges or corners that pose danger to user, and bottom edge of holes smooth but sharp. Handle is comfortable and appears firmly attached with no gaps to accumulate food particles. Exceptional engineering in both design and manufacture. Near perfection right out of the box.

This size is perfect for making egg salad sandwiches, I will never use a fork again for that. For cleaning though, it helps to have a small brush that you can use to get inside the 'circles'

Took a long while to receive but finally made it. I was surprised it didn't come in a box or some type of packaging? There were no labels or tags. It was wrapped in bubble wrap & taped. Otherwise, it appears new & seems like it will mash without bending? I bought it for mashing berries. I imagine trying to mash anything denser would run the risk of bending, though I could be wrong?

I really like that I can easily mash a couple of eggs, potatoes , avocado etc with this little guy! It is such a handy little asset to my kitchen tools!
