Each bottle is labeled 16 FL. OZ> (473 ML)

Q: This product looks counterfeit. The packaging is different. Why does this bottle look like the labels were printed at home and taped on by children.

I just checked my bottles of Boos Block Mystery Oil and they don't have a glued on label. All in printed information is on the bottle itself. My bottles also have "JOHN BOOS & CO. MODEL:MYS" right under the CIRCLED NSF on the front of the bottle. The authentic BOOS BLOCK Mystery Oil also sells for $20.00 a bottle, not 3 bottles for $29.00. I think this is a knock-off and counterfeit product.

What did you stain the butcher block with? I don't think they make food grade stain.

Q: Putting this on brand new wood counters. how many square feet will 16 ounce bottle cover? how many layers should i do? what does the cream do?

Hello! It is a bit tough to judge how much your countertop will need initially based on size, if you live in an arid vs humid climate, etc. I would probably start with the 16 ounce or 32 ounce oil and go from there. Do one layer, and repeat every few weeks (more often as your counters are new). The oil will replenish the moisture and protect the wood. The cream is an additional step, to seal in that moisture. It is thicker and should be applied after the oil.
