HUE Women's Opaque Control Top Tight

I'm 5'5", 180 lbs with a (realatively) small waist and big butt. My legs are thin in proportion and short. These tights fit me perfectly. I often have problems with tights slipping down off my waist, especially as the day goes on and they stretch out. Sometimes tights in larger sizes aren't big enough in the rear end and are too long in the legs for me. I have had none of those problems with these. The waist fits well and stays in place. The legs were just the right length. I have worn them on 3 different special occasions and a few times just around town. They have performed well, as have other Hue tights I own. They are dark enough to cover the imperfections in my legs, but not so opaque that my legs look like solid brown columns. They kept my legs warm at my daughter's rather chilly outside wedding celebration in NY and are OK for our warmer NC fall weather too. I expect to wear them all winter here in NC. However, they might be too thin to keep you warm outside in colder places. My hubby threw one pair in the washer and dryer - not even in the mesh bag I'd usually wash them in, (sigh) but they were fine! Not the way I'd treat them normally; since dryers tend to ruin the elastic in almost anything, I hang my tights dry. I think they are a good value for the money. Not only do I highly recommend these, I'm buying a couple more pairs in black.

I buy these for ballet class. They are perfect, and I’ve purchased several pair over the years. I like them footless, so I modify by cutting the feet out. They are somewhat compression if you buy a size smaller than what you normally wear. I like them snug, and they stay in place during class. Thank you for supplying these.

I never write Amazon reviews, but these tights disappointed me so much I had to warn potential buyers! I bought these same tights in 2015 and LOVED them, but put hole in the original pair on New Year's Eve with my trendy, almond-shaped nails. I read the recent Amazon reviews of these before purchasing, most of which said that the quality of HUE tights had gone down. I thought, "How bad can they be?" and ordered theOpaque Control Top Tights in black anyway. I wish I had listened to the reviewers. The old tights were thick, soft, and dark--easily the best tights I'd ever had. The new ones are just plain ol' tights. You might as well go to Target buy an equally thin and cheap pair, only you'll spend $5 instead of $13.If you *still* want to buy these, be advised that they do run VERY small. I am 5'3", 130 lbs and I originally ordered the HUE Opaque Sheer to Waist Opaque Tights in a 2 (even though per the size chart, 1 or 2 should fit). They were SO TIGHT! I ordered a 3 in the control top (for 165-200 lbs), and they fit but are still a little bit tighter than I would like.I recognize that this is wholly a First World Problem, but I am pretty darn bummed that I am unable to purchase the same wonderful tights that I maimed on NYE...what happened to you, HUE?

These are ok, not appallingly cheap, but for the price I feel they could've been higher quality. I feel like I could have just walked into my local drug store and found the same pair for $4.99. I am 5'5" and about 125 lbs. and ordered the small. The small was tight at first but it's better that way because this type of material will definitely stretch out in a negative kind of way :-/Also: I bought the Graphite Heather since I was looking for a slightly mottled (probably not the right word...) charcoal - not flat/fakey grey, but a nice charcoal. The Graphite Heather fit that expectation: a natural textured-looking charcoal that looks good as a subtle contrast to a black skirt or dress and black pumps or Mary Janes.All in all, these will fill one's needs for a few months maybe, but will never achieve the my-favorite-pair-of-tights-that-last-forever status.

These are my favorite brand and anytime I try a new one, I'm never as satisfied as with HUE. They are the perfect fit for me considering how tough it is to find tights that are comfortable on a large lower body. I have very thick thighs and hips and I'm also tall. The size 4 is perfect for me. They last through several washes and have even withstood my dog's nails when she jumps on my legs to say hi. Truly my favorite brand of tights.

These are incredible - they last FOREVER. They are soft and wonderfully breathable. one pair usually lasts a year. towards the end of the winter/spring I check the heels - the ones that are showing shoe nubby pulls, I will cut the legs off a little above the knee. I then have a control top that I can use for the summer and have bare, cool legs - this is great - no runs, no frays, no roll up. Did I say amazing. For care - throw them in the washing machine, gentle cycle, then to the dryer or air dry - even the half legs pairs. life is so much simplier. Sometimes I like a more sheer hose but that was mostly in the summer and now with the half leg hose - good to go!!!

I gained weight - ouch! None of my old tights fit, and, even though I'm able to walk again, and hope to work it off, I need something NOW. So, I ordered size...well, another size. And they fit! Just: I AM right on the edge... They'll do quite nicely right now, and I trust that in another month they'll be REALLY comfortable. And maybe in six months I can go back to my old size...They are well made, long lasting, and I can throw them into the wash with my clothes (nothing has a zipper) and machine cycle on hand wash. They go in the dryer on low, with a softener sheet.

The quality of these tights are great but the size chart is pretty off. I’m 5”2’ 117 lbs and according to their size chart I ordered a size Small. Well let me just tell you it was quite a squeeze to get these things up my legs! Thank goodness I only had to go to the bathroom once while wearing them! I don’t even need control top but that was the only way they were offered. Just way right IMO.I did love the mottled gray color of these tights. So just FYI you may want to size up.

I have purchased this brand at a retail outlet in the past in the same size and make. These for some reason fit smaller, whereas the ones I bought at retail were a bit bigger. Not sure what the issue is, but still wearable.

Fairly opaque, fit true to size for me (I purchased size 1); not too much stretch, not too little. Most opaque tights have limited stretch (in order to stay opaque), so if you are close between two sizes, buy the larger. The control top is comfortable and the waistband doesn't roll when I wear them. The tights have a low rise, which I like but may not be to everyone's preference. I purchased the espresso brown and found the colour to be accurately described. Although the description says they can be tumble-dried, I always hang dry my tights for longevity so I don't know how they hold up to the dryer. In general stretchy materials are usually best kept out of the clothes dryer because the heat breaks them down (the same reason it is not recommended to put bras in the dryer). In reading other reviews it seems some people have had quality issues, but I can only speak for my experience and I am very satisfied with them. I have noticed a lot of the negative reviews were from a few years ago, so perhaps the manufacturer has rectified those issues, or perhaps it is hit or miss, or even due to putting them in the clothes dryer.
