A: Hello, the thread size of our 12V water pump is 20mm, which can fit a 3/4 inch hose.

**Q: will this heat a 800 gallon pond?**
A: Hello, it is just the water pump and does not have a heating function.

**Q: Q&a says thread size is 1/2 inch, what tread type is that, i tried all the 1/2 " npt at the hardware store and it didn't work is it bspp (g)**
A: It's is the very same as pvc garden sprinkler type items found at Home Depot.. and is very easily converted to 1/2 or 5/8 std or mib outlet fixture for homes hoses... Hope this helps...
