they are 2 batteries with solder tabs attached to each of them as shown in the picture. the tab is not a separate piece.

Are the tabs actually spot welded to the battery or do you need to solder them to the battery first?

Tabs are spot welded to the battery. the other end of the tabs have holes to enable soldering with a hand solder. you may have to trim the tabs to fit your requirements. tabs are about 3 mm wide and 20 mm long.

Will this work with Braun 6520 (Type 5705) shaver?

There are solutions for this shaver but these batteries are not them. Search Google for the proper batteries and installation instructions. You will loose the water proofing of the shaver.
